Tina sits up in bed, running her hands through her hair and letting out a yawn. The pleasant scents of breakfast wafting into the bedroom.

“She woke up first,” Tina smiles, laying back down in bed, and closing her eyes.

It had become a regular practice in their home, that the first person to wake up cooked breakfast. This was strictly a weekend thing. There didn’t seem to be enough time during the weekdays to sit down an eat breakfast together.

Tina stays in bed for several more minutes, before finally getting out of bed and putting on a pair of pajama bottoms and a T-shirt. She walks out of the bedroom and down the hallway.

She could practically taste the breakfast waiting for as she got close to the kitchen entrance. “That smells so good,” Tina walks into the kitchen, and immediately over to her significant other wrapping her arms around her waist and kissing her neck.

“You know — I’m starting to think that you sleep in on purpose.” Shane turns around.

Tina shakes her head. “No, of course not,” She tries her best not to laugh.

“Why do I get the feeling that you’re not telling the truth?” Shane grins.

“Okay, next weekend — breakfast in bed.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” Shane leans in kissing Tina. “I made — spinach, tomatoes, and cheese omelets for breakfast. I got the recipe off the internet — thought I’d try it.”

“I’m sure it will taste great.” Tina kisses Shane before walking over to the kitchen table and sitting down.
