    Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 58

    She finished her wine and curled up on the sofa under a soft blanket. She closed her eyes, thinking of all the wonderful moments Bette and she had together. She didn’t know where the things were going and if anything will ever be the same. All she knew that she loved Bette more than anything and she wanted to make things right.

    ~~~~~~~~
    Alice quietly walked into her friends’ house through the patio door and tip-toed to Tina’s bedroom. She opened the door and looked inside but the room was empty. The bed was unmade and the whole house was dark and eerie quiet. Alice tried to find her way in the dark but she didn’t expect to hit the corner of the coffee table in the living room.
    “Freaking frak, it hurts,” Alice expressed her displeasure from the pain.
    “Bette?” Tina’s sleepy voice was so unexpected that Alice jumped and hit the table again.
    “Fuck, Tina. You scared the shit out of me,” Alice rubbed her leg and winced in pain. “What are you doing here in the dark?”
    “I’m living here…what are you doing here?” Tina sat up straight and turned on the lamp by the sofa.
    Alice took one look at Tina’s puffy eyes and sighed, knowing that she was going to add more sadness and tears. “Are you okay?”
    “No, I’m not okay…” Tina tried not to cry again. “Alice, she left me, she…left me.”
    “I know, honey, I know.”
    “She was away all day, she came last night and we made love. I should have known it was goodbye because she was so fierce, so full of love…as if it was our last time…and then she left without a note or a goodbye.”
    “She called me late last night,” Alice said quietly.
    “What?”
    “She wanted us to meet so she could give this to you.”
    Alice handed Tina the letter that Bette had given her at the grove. Tina took it without a question and read the first line,
    “My dearest Tina…Tee.”
    Tina lifted her head and look at Alice, “What is this? What’s going on?”
    Alice joined Tina on the sofa and took her hand. “Bette wanted me to give you this letter after she went through the portal.”
