“Wonderful,” Tina exclaimed and joined Bette on the bed, “Baby…everything is going to be fine,” she hugged the brunette, noticing that she was getting nervous again.

“What if the paintings are ruined, Tee? I really would love to see them again, especially my mother’s unfinished portrait.”

“Bette, you can always start painting again, you know. In fact, why don’t you? We can buy all the necessary materials…we can built a little studio on the back of the house, or if you prefer we can go to the Porter mansion and you can paint there on weekends. The art studio there is amazing. And if…no, when we find your paintings, you can finish them,” Tina said with confidence, rubbing Bette’s shoulder and gazing lovingly into her eyes.

“I don’t know, Tee…I guess I can do all of that but what if I’m not good anymore…what if I was never good…”

“Baby…if I was gonna judge by the painting that you gave to Katie, I’d say that you, my friend, are fucking brilliant…absolutely brilliant.”

“You really think so?” Bette smiled shyly, “You’re not just saying it because you happened to be my girlfriend who would do anything to make me happy…even lie?”

“Well, I would do anything to make you happy, baby…but no, I’m not saying it because you’re my girlfriend. You are brilliant.”

“Brilliant like Monet?” Bette smiled, running her fingers through Tina’s hair.

“Don’t push it,” Tina laughed, kissing Bette on her cheek and getting off the bed, “Let’s go meet the girls for breakfast or Alice will be calling us any minute now and asking if we are having sex again.”

“Yes, let’s go…it’s Kit’s first day back to work and I want us to spend this afternoon with her and the girls.”
