Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 16
She handed the paper to Tina. The drawing was fairly simple but pretty detailed if one needed to know information about the time portal. It showed an outline of two trees that resembled strong California red oak trees, growing in a close proximity from each other. Something was hanging between the trees that looked like a transparent sheet with a large round hole in the middle. Tina looked closely and noticed that the contours of the sheet were made with dotted lines, which was an indication of invisibility or possibility, if Tina remembered correctly. On the back of the hole the professor drew some sort of a spiral tunnel, which ended with the question mark.
“So,” Tina said slowly, “the professor drew the entrance to the portal but didn’t know where the exit was located?”
“Precisely,” Alice stated with a smug smile on her face, “but we know.”
Tina looked at her with some apprehension at first and then it came to her as she gasped, “Oh my God…the closet.”
“Exactly,” Alice was smiling widely and winked at Tina, knowing now that she at least managed to get Tina’s attention.
“Oh stop that, Al,” Tina said, smiling because she couldn’t help herself, “You still haven’t completely persuaded me to believe that this was Elizabeth Porter this morning in my…I mean her bedroom.”
“Well, even if you only believe me one percent I consider my mission to be successful because if I was in your shoes I would already have committed us both to the closest mental institution.”
“Luckily, you have a list of Top Ten Institutions already,” Tina laughed, rolling her eyes. “Okay, so what happened next? How in the world did you even come up with the idea of going to Laguna Beach and…wait, these oak trees look so familiar…”
Alice looked at Tina and nodded her head with another one of her mischievous smiles, waiting for Tina to finish her thought.
“You mean…it’s right here?” Tina asked breathlessly, putting her hand over her fast beating heart and closing her eyes for just a moment. Everything that Alice had told her so far was beginning to look too real and it was hard for Tina to take it all in. She was still recovering from the shock of seeing Elizabeth Porter so close that she could touch her by just stretching her hand, and now these two oak trees not far from the house apparently held an opening for a time portal. TIME PORTAL!!!

“…or with her impossibly perfect and flawless image?”
Hahaha…that was a great question for Alice to ask Tina. Very well written update B&TF. I find myself pulled to this story like Tina felt pulled to the painting of Bette. Can’t wait for your next update.
Oh man,Bette went unconscious again!!! When will Tina and Bette finally meet face to face and could last longer than 1 min! lol… thanks for the great update, please post soon! :)
Is it Chapter 20 yet? Poor Elizabeth Porter, she is going to have a headache if she keeps passing out.
Hey B&TF ! Sorry for taking so long to comment on this chappie, but I only read it today. Anyways, it was very good. God, this story is entralling ! I can’t wait foe Bette and Tina to “properly meet” in the present. I have a feeling Tina is going to be a great ” guide ” for Bette in this new world. But there is something I don’t quite get : did they change the past ? … I guess I’m just going to have to wait and see, huh ? PPS !
i love your story, it´s great!!!!, hope you post soon y more often, i love it, just love it, congratulations. :)go on, pleaaasseeeeeeee
Very good question, Alicia!… But I guess it’s time for you to tell Tina the rest of the story while the beauty sleeps so that she can finally understand Bette’s constant fainting. Then they can start to get to know each other better and find out that whatever the dimension, they are meant for each other… And also, LMAO at the “Friends” reference!!! Love that show, and loved that episode… Chandler totally freaked out on Monica. But love is love, isn’t it? You can’t conceal it, can’t deny it, can’t run away from it… You just can’t. I can totally picture Alice and Tina laughing their asses off watching a “Friends” marathon! Thanks for this wonderful update, as usual! And PPS…
That was great and poor Bette just keep fainting!
