Madison Kennard was on the prowl again. Her blond hair was swaying as her body moved to the music. She walked into the bar about an hour ago, sitting at the bar she downed a few shots of tequila to put her in a party mood. She was now surveying the landscape filled with beautiful woman deciding which one was going to be hers tonight. Her eyes settled on a tall thin brunette with brown wavy hair and olive complexion. The woman reminded her a bit of her momma Bette in her younger days. What would her moms think of her now, trolling the bars, picking up a different woman each night? Rumor had it that Bette was the same way in her younger days and her Aunt Shanes reputation was legendary. So I guess Im following in their footsteps. Ill settle down eventually, when Ive had my fill.

Maddie approached the woman and flashed her killer smile; Hi, Im Madison, can I buy you a drink?

Maddie hid her surprise, but did not give up. She had never been turned down before so now it was a matter of holding onto her pride; Who said anything about a one night stand?

When Madison felt Zoes touch a tingle went up and down her spine. What the ***** am I getting myself into she thought.

Zoe drove a black BMW and once they were settled in she turned on the cd player. Country music began playing.

Madison said Country music, interesting choice, what else do you have?

They reached their destination and Zoe got out of the car and walked around to open the door for Madison. Madison was thrown a bit by this. She was the one always in control. Oh what the *****, Im going to sit back and enjoy this ride. Ill get her to bed eventually and who knows maybe it will be worth the wait.

Madison took Zoes hand and help to get out of the car. A chill ran through her body when their hands touched. There it is again. What is going on here?

They ordered dinner and a bottle of wine. Three hours later a second bottle of wine was finished and the two hadnt stopped talking. They found that they had much in common; a love of photography and art, playing tennis and a unrelenting drive to be successful at work. Zoe was a lawyer and Madison was a technology manager for a large financial services company. They were the last ones to leave the restaurant and they thanked the staff for being so patient with a huge tip.

Are you alright to drive Zoe? I think you had more than I did. Maybe I should drive back.
Yeah, youre probably right. Im not sure Ill be able to drive myself home afterwards. Would you mind coming home with me?

Maddie raised an eyebrow and with just a hint of sarcasm said what happened to taking things slow?

I said come home with me. I didnt say anything about us sleeping together. Ive got a spare bedroom

Mmmm, Im sure you do. Okay, lets go. She opened the passenger side for Zoe, closed the door and got into the car. She immediately put the radio on. Driver decides what plays right?

I knew you didnt like the country. Sure put whatever you want on.

Zoe gave Madison directions, and proceeded to fall asleep in 2 seconds flat.

Zoe, wake up will you, were here. Give me your house keys.

Zoe stumbled out of the car and followed Madison to the front door. Once inside she showed Madison the spare bedroom and said there are t-shirts and shorts in the dresser. Thanks for doing this. Ill see you in the morning.

As she turned to leave, Madison grabbed her arm and turned her back around. Not so fast. Dont I at least get a good night kiss?

Zoe leaned in a kissed her gently on the lips, Goodnight Madison, I had a great time tonight. Sleep tight.

Madison looked Zoe in the eyes and said Gnight Zoe, I had a good time too. Ill make breakfast for us in the morning. Ive got a secret recipe that cures a hangover.

Youre on, Madison. Something tells me Im going to be in desperate need of a hangover cure.

She turned to walk away and this time Madison let her go. What have I gotten myself into she thought as her fingers ran a trail over the lips that Zoe had just kissed.
