You okay mom? Madison asked Tina as the spoon dropped from her mothers hand and hit the bowl.

Yeah, sure. Any particular reason youre asking us about this now. Have you met someone?

Just curious. Madison said as she averted her eyes.

T, why dont we just answer her question. Bette smiled at Madison and turned her head towards Tina, arching her left eyebrow only so Madison couldnt see. Tina got the message and started talking.

Okay Madison, we had been seeing each other as friends for over six months when your mother finally decided to forgive me for leaving her.

What are you talking about Tina? Why are you talking about the second time? Tell her about the first time, it was much more romantic.

Madison just stood there smiling. She wanted so much to find someone to love and end up just like her two moms; after all these many years their love and passion for one another was still alive and growing stronger with each passing day.

Bette and Tina looked at one another, each knowing just by looking into one anothers eyes that they were reminded of Shane, all those years ago when she said virtually the same thing to them.

Madison walked out of the house and made her way home. She was thankful that Jake was asleep when she arrived. She crawled into bed and thought about her parents story. In a way it was a part fairytale, part reality show. They had loved and lost each other, only to find a way back to one another years later. She couldnt get Zoe out of her mind. For some reason Madison couldnt stop thinking about her. What was the attraction? It was more than physical. Madison tossed and turned all night trying to answer the question and couldnt. Her alarm went off at 6 just as she was finally falling to sleep. ***** she yelled out. Then she started laughing, wondering who won the bet last night. Mama B or her mom. Her money was on Bette; she knew her mother could never resist her even though she pretended that she could.

Madison got through the day by chain drinking coffee. By the time 6 oclock rolled around she was so hyper she could barely sit still in her office. She was meeting friends for dinner in half an hour so she decided to pack up and head out. There was a knock on her office door as she zipped up her briefcase.

Madisons boss walked in with a huge smile on his face.

Well Madison, you did it again. Senior management was quite pleased with this weekends implementation. They know that you really pulled things together and wanted you to know. Youll have an interim bonus in your paycheck next week.

Madison smiled and thanked her boss. She should have been happier that her career was moving forward as planned. Instead, all she could think about was having no one to share her joy with. Well at least Im meeting the girls tonight. I can celebrate with them.

Madison and her friends enjoyed dinner, with each of them buying a round of drinks to celebrate Madisons success. By the time they finished there were all stuffed and buzzed. Angela, Madisons best friend suggested they go dancing.

No way, I got no sleep last night. I dont have it in me. Im going home and straight to sleep.

Come on Madison Angela put on her best puppy dog face. I need to meet someone new. Lets go to that new place over on 8th street.

Madison tried to argue but none of them would take no for an answer. The next thing she knew Madison was at the club, dancing up a storm with her friends. She was standing at the bar with Angela when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see Zoe smiling at her.

We meet again. Im beginning to think this is fate. Look Im really sorry about last night. I want you to know that I dont play games. I was trying to be cute but I guess I took it too far. Please give me another chance?

Madison just stood there staring at Zoe. Once again she looked stunning. How could she not give her another chance? She could not get this woman out of her mind, so she might as well give her the opportunity to redeem herself.

Zoe and Madison danced for the next hour non-stop their bodies gyrating to the music and against each other. They didnt notice that during that hour everyone in the club took the opportunity to watch them. To appreciate how their bodies seemed to fit so well together, to appreciate the look of lust and love that flashed between them when they looked into each others eyes. Just as Madison thought she couldnt dance to another song the music changed and a slow song came on. Before she could move off the dance floor Madison felt Zoe pull her into her arms. Zoe slipped her hands around Madisons waist and pulled her close. She whispered softly into her ear

She kissed Madison on her ear, and then trailed a series of soft kisses down her jaw line, finally placing her lips on Madisons. Madison was determined not to let Zoe know how much she had wanted this too. Be cool Maddie, you dont want her to be another one night stand. Let her lead Madison said to herself. Zoe kissed Madison hard, pressing there lips together, pushing her tongue into Madisons mouth. Madison was surprised because it was such a contrast to the soft kiss they had shared yesterday. However, she responded, in kind, quickly entangling her tongue with Zoes. They both kissed one another with a fervor that neither had ever experienced before. It was as if they were each satisfying a primal need from deep within that they had awakened in one another. They stopped when someone passed by and said get a room. Madison broke away from Zoe and looked into her eyes. This time she saw emotion. Was it lust or love? She wasnt sure but at least it was something. She had broken through Zoee faade. Zoe was astonished by what she saw in Madisons eyes. She had only seen it once before and that was from her first love. Both of them stood for a long time. Both looking for the right words to say. Neither was ready to express what they were feeling. They were too afraid of being hurt. Madison went first and tried to lighten the mood.

Zoe laughed, but it was a nervous laugh. do you think we could go outside for a minute and get some fresh air?

Sure, follow me. Madison took Zoe by the hand and led her to the nearest exit.

Once again the two shared an uneasy silence. Once again, Madison spoke first.

Look Zoe, Im just going to be straight with you. There is something going on here between us, I cant put my finger on it or maybe I dont want to admit what it is but I want to explore it with you. No games, just you, together with me, seeing where it goes. You call the shots as far as what pace we go. Im not interested in rushing this. I want to take it slow. What do you think?
