    “Yes darling, like I said you’re my business partner. So join me.”

    “Peggy this is so sudden.”

    “So what do you say, Bette? We can leave whenever you are ready and packed?”

    I hold the phone to my ear and silence takes over me and my mind races through an answer.

    “Yes, I’ll join you.”

    “Excellent, just let me know when you’re ready and I’ll have a limo pick you up and bring you to my private plane.”

    “Service I see.”

    “It is for your Bette Porter.”

    I smile into the phone before I hang up.

    I hold the phone in my hands and stare at the floor before I come back into reality and make my way back towards my family.

    “Uh, Kit, would you mind taking my Angel back to get her out of her work clothing?” I say smiling.

    “Of course baby girl.” Kit says. “Come on Boo let’s go hang your apron in my office!”

    “Kay!” Angie says grabbing Kit’s hand and following her lead.

    “Whats up babe?” Tina asks me. “What did Peggy want?”

    “Peggy asked me to join her.” I say. “She asked me to come with her to Manhattan to make the offer to Kelly’s father.”

    “This is sudden?”

    “Yeah, I guess she just wants me to be there.”

    “So what are you going to do?”

    I place my handbag on the table as we continue to stand.

    “I told her yes. Is that ok?”

    “Do you think it’s a good idea to go?”

    “I do, Peggy’s my business partner now and I want to be there when Kelly’s father accepts that offer.”

    “Then go.” Tina says smiling. “Go. Because I know how much this means to you.”

    “It does mean a lot, but not as much as you mean to me, T.” I kiss her lips.

    “So when do you leave?”

    “Once I’m all packed, she’s going to send a limo to pick me up.”

    “That’s service.”

    “I said the same thing. And not the mention, a private jet.” I smile.

    “I’m jealous.”

    “Who knows? Maybe one day Peggy will let me borrow her private jet and I can take you somewhere romantic for a few days?” I kiss her lips again.

    “I would enjoy that.” She smiles. “Now, let’s get going.”

      I worry a little about Kelly, she is a dangereous crazy woman. And her wanting to speak with Tina while Bette is away, it worries me.

      I have no doubt that Bette and Peggy will succeed.

          Just saw a few other readers who came out to comment. When i discovered this site a few years ago, i was a silent reader, didn’t comment because i was afraid i could’nt express myself in a good way, English is not my native language, but if i would write a story i would love to read comments. It would encourage me to continue and give me a proud feeling that readers enjoy what you have created.

          Sadly, there are many stories unfinished, i know life can take over and there is more in life than fanfiction but still it is sad.

          So, i thank you for writing a story and sharing it with us!

    5. Peggy is always a charming character and I love stories where she appears. Because of her money, she can be almost a magical character in the way her resources can pull unattainable things out of the air, and into play that most people would simply stare at the credit cards and go, “No fucking way.” That said, I’ve sent you a PM about a plotting note, that I hope will be helpful as you continue writing, which I hope you will.

    6. Great chapter. So happy that you will continue to post, I really like the story. Hopefully Tina will have everyone come home with her so she won’t be alone, even though she doesnt know that she is being followed. Hope she does it just because Bette is gone. Why cant they see that something is different about the table where they are sitting. Kit doesnt have decorations on those tables so anything that is there should be seen. Even Alice would know what a speaker looks like, after all she is a reporter. When they find it I hope someone does something really loudly so it can break Kellys damned ear drum. Take it to one of the cars and raise the hood, put it next to the horn so some one can get inside and just press the horn for at least 3 minutes. That will deafen the bitch and hopefully make her lose her mind. Lol. Keep writing and we will keep reading. Thanks for posting.
