Chapter Thirty-Four

The Next Morning.

…

My eyes open and I look over to see Bette sleeping on her stomach with her head turned towards the other side of the bed.

I lean over and start to kiss her back, I pull away and decide to let her sleep more.

I look over at the time and it reads eight: twenty one.

I throw on a pair of underwear and a tank top and guide my tried self to the bathroom and then make my way to the kitchen to make some coffee to wake myself up.

I hear a knock at the door and sleepily walk my way to answer it.

“Bet…Tina…wow.” She smirks.

My brain wakes myself back to reality and I look down realizing what i’m wearing.

“Alice…” I say trying to cover my underwear by pulling my tank top down further.

“Is this what I think it is?” She says laughing.

“Me getting out of bed yes..”

“You look like you’ve had a rough night.”

“I couldn’t stop tossing and turning and the house was hot last night.”

I notice Alice looking behind me, thats when I turn to see Bette walking down the hall wearing similar less of clothing.

“T?”

“Alice..” I hear Bette say in surprise then I see her rush back into the room.

“Way to go on that excuse Tina.”

I roll my eyes at Alice.

“I thought you were going to be staying in the spare bedroom but i was very wrong..”

“Alice..”

“What..its not like i care..”

I continue to stare at her…i’ve known Alice way too long to know she doesn’t keep calm about these things.

“I’ll just wait for it.” I say to myself.

Then seconds later she starts jumping to the air like Angie does when she gets ice cream before dinner. “I can’t believe it!! I am so happy!!”

“I knew it.” I say to myself again.

“Alice..what are you doing here?” I hear Bette ask.

I turn to see Bette walking up to me in more suitable clothing now.

“You two!” Alice says covering her mouth with her hands.

“What about it?” Bette asks.

“Porter..you know what I’m talking about.”

“I asked you a question Al.”

“Geez Porter…let’s see.. well your best friend is here to take my earth daughter for a few hours until Mama B and Mama T worked things out but I see we are off to a very good start already..”
I notice Alice wink at Bette.
