Alice felt her face immediately flush as she recognised the vulnerable position she had placed herself in: she was naked not ten feet away from Lara. Making a vain attempt at nonchalance, she began swimming the length of the pool in order to hide her guilty expression and to put some distance between her and the redhead. The idea of skinny-dipping with Lara was more than exciting; it was almost intoxicating. But, sharing the moment with Shane and Jenny, both of whom still knew nothing about their relationship or whatever it was, didn’t really make it such a welcome prospect.
Lara paused at the patio door. As much as she too was thrilled at the thought that Alice was completely naked so close to her, she couldn’t imagine joining her in the pool and being able to maintain their platonic cover in front of Shane and Jenny. Given that her body was still buzzing with the pleasure of their recent near-kiss in the bathroom, Lara knew she couldn’t trust herself to be near Alice without finishing what they started. Add an unclothed Alice to the mix and Lara didn’t know how she would be able to keep her hands off of her.
“Get in!” Shane persisted, as Lara turned back to face the pool.
“Uh, no thanks,” Lara replied uneasily. “I’m not a great swimmer.”
“Angelica swims in this pool,” Shane teased. “Come on, we’ll turn away while you strip off in case you’re embarrassed.”
“No, it’s not that…” Lara started, then stopped as she saw Shane and Jenny looking at her expectantly. How was she supposed to finish that sentence? Uh no, Shane, I can’t be anywhere near Alice without making out with her, so I don’t think I should swim naked with her right now. It was all too ridiculous, she thought helplessly, as she tried to think up another reasonable excuse.
Meanwhile, Alice was still slowly swimming the length of the pool. Frustrated with what she saw as her complete lack of self-control, she berated herself privately while she swam. What was wrong with her? Was she some sort of teenager with raging hormones who couldn’t keep herself under control for a few minutes? Reaching the other side of the pool, she decided to take a chance.

ah, there you are again! Great update. I think the thing I like most about your writing is how you take the characters we know and flesh them out, in the context we know from the show. Without having any external angst, you manage to move the characters along nicely, which is a nice alternative to the standard fare! Again, your dialogue, pace and tension are spot on. Thanks for continuing the story….as you surely know by now, I’ll be reading as long as you post!
Happy dance! Love the update because I must admit I’ve been checking. As always, your pacing and tension (gawd! but it’s so well done!) and truth to the characters as we know them makes for excellent reading. Of course, I am looking forward to ‘the talk’ and hope nothing interrupts them–but if it did you’d be handling it in a realistic way so carry on with how your creativity is taking you. When is Showtime hiring you as Chief Lace Storyline Specialist?

I have been waiting for this for ages… and I guess I’ll accept some of the blame if you put another chapter up quickly! Haha I wont write anymore fics so you dont get distracted :P I’m seriously hooked.
As usual, I love it. The tension makes me want to take a spatula to my eye, but other than that I’m doing just fine. That was my favorite chapter yet! Keep up the awesome work. No pressure ;)

I just read all 7 chapters! I really like the way you describe the feelings from Lara’s and Alice’s perspective. It’s very well written! Btw, you’re a real tease…every time they get close, someone interrupts (very very frustrating ;) ).
