James put his head round the door of Bette’s office
“There is a very important call for you on line 1 “
Bette looked up from the catalogue she had been reading
“How important ?”
“Very “
“Name ?”
“Angelica “
Bette laughed “Oh THAT important “
“She says its very important that she talks to her mommy – that would be you”
“Indeed – thanks James – and see if you can get the phones sorted out – you cannot be running in and out of here “
“On it “
Bette picked up the phone and pressed 1
“Bette Porter Gallery and Antiques – Bette Porter speaking – how can I help you ?”
A fit of childlike giggles rather gave away who the caller was. Bette smiled
“Can I help you madam ?”
More giggles
“Can I interest you in some paintings or antiques madam “
“Its ME MOMMY “
“Who is me ?”
“ME ! “
“Does me have a name ?”
“Angie “
Bette laughed “Hello sweetheart – what are you doing on the phone ?”
“You are going out with mommy tonight “
“Yes I am “ Bette smiled at the prospect of a whole evening with Tina
“So when are you coming home ?”
“Its only 4 o’clock Angie “
“What time are you going out with mommy ?”
“6:30 “
Angie was gradually learning how to tell the time but that calculation would be beyond her
“I have plenty of time “
“When are you coming home ?”
“When I have finished my work”
“Mommy ! “
“As its Friday and you are obviously dying to get rid of us so you and Shane can hang out I will be earlier than usual “
“Now ?”
“No “
“When ?”
Bette smiled “I would be home quicker if I was not having to argue with my daughter”
Angie considered this one
“Okay – see you soon mommy “
“See you soon babe – is Tina or Shane there by any chance ?”
The phone was handed over
“Sorry Bette – she is very insistent “
“Oh I know all about that Shane – are you okay ?”
“Fine – Angie and I are going to walk down to the DVD store and see what we want to watch”

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad they are going for an evening out, they need it. It’s also great that Tina is venturing out on her own again. If she encounters her sister again, she should just keep walking and ignore her. If she touches Tina, Tina should just floor her and make mincemeat out of her. Great update. Glad you have new heating now AllyE.
