Bette slammed the phone down and used all her restraint not to pick it up and throw it against the wall. Bette was trying to get the finishing details on her upcoming show taken care of but she was having trouble because she couldnt seem to keep her mind on work. It had been three months since Tina left and Bette was miserable. She missed not being able to see Tina or even talk to her every day and Bette wanted her to come home already. Her body ached for Tinas soft touch and Bettes sexual and emotional frustration were getting to her. She had managed to talk to Tina a couple of dozen times or so, but it simply wasnt enough. Bette missed everything about her. Her smile, her skin, the way she tastedeverything. The first two months went by fairly quickly considering Bette spent nearly every waking hour at work trying to get things taken care of, but this last month had been hard. Too many nights in the past week or so Bette would hang up after talking to Tina with her body stubbornly still reacting to the sound of Tinas voice. Bette hadnt remembered a time when she was so needy and after being reduced to taking matters into her own hands a few times, Bette had just about enough. The only sanity she had was provided by Alice who kept reminding Bette that Tina would be home soon and once she was, their lives could move forward and they would be living together. Bette didnt know what she would have done without Alice and even thought Bette took out some of her frustration on Alice she knew Alice understood.

Terry, one of the artists in the upcoming show and a good friend of Bettes, walked into the office holding a few photographs and some files of people he wanted her to take a look at. He took one look at her and almost started laughing. Bette knew she probably looked frazzled and Terry was one of the few people who knew why. Bette mostly kept her personal life and professional life separate, but Terry was an old friend and someone Bette felt she could confide in from time to time. He set the things down on the desk in front of her and sat back on the desk looking at her.

Bette are you alright?

Im fine Terry. I just need this one piece to come in to complete the show, but other than that Im fine.

Bette glared at him while trying to hide her embarrassment. One thing that Bette had always liked about Terry was his ability to cut through the bullshit and tell it like it was, but this was not something Bette wanted to hear. He laughed and patted her shoulder patronizingly.

Bette sighed as she thought about what he was saying. True, the show was pretty much set up and she did have time to go see Tinabut Bette didnt like the fact that she had to chase Tina all over the country just to spend time with her. It wasnt her style, and Bette wasnt used to being the one who had to fight for what she wanted. Terry stood up and walked out of her office giving her a look over his shoulder that said, just go already but he left without saying another word. Bette looked down at her desk once more before giving up and deciding that maybe he was right. After all, she was craving Tina with every fiber in her body, and just being able to hold Tina and kiss her was enough for Bette. She grabbed her phone again and made a few calls before grabbing her things and leaving the office. It was Thursday afternoon, and by this time on Saturday, if things went right, Bette would be lying in bed with the woman she loved.

Tina walked back into the hotel with Jeremy, one of the other producers on the film, and they caught the elevator up to their floor while still going over some of the details from the meeting they had earlier. Jeremy was a nice guy, about twenty-eight or so, handsome, intelligent, and well liked by everyone, and Tina found him very pleasant to be around. He kind of reminded Tina of the next door neighbor type of guy who would make a great husband and wonderful father. They had been working closely together for the past three months and Tina had grown quite fond of him. Whatever free time they had they spent together, mostly talking about their significant others back home. He was engaged to a girl who was in law school and Tina could tell from the way he talked about her that he was very much in love with her. She told him about Bette and their relationship and he was a great listener with some really good advice when she needed it. Tina forgot how easy and comfortable being around a guy could be and honestly, she kind of missed it. They joked about being each others substitute while they were stuck here, but both knew it was just a joke and their relationship never threatened to go further than strictly platonic.

Tina sighed as she reached her room and opened the door feeling very tired all of a sudden. They were in New York after having spent the past two months in Seattle, and after this week they were heading to Toronto before finishing up in Las Vegas. Tinas body felt like dead weight as she flopped down on the bed and glanced at the clock. It was already one in the morning, too late to call Bette, and Tina was sad that she didnt get to talk to her today. Three months was a long time for Tina to be without Bette and she was missing her so badly she contemplated flying home for a few days just to surprise her, but her schedule never allowed and she had to remain where she was. Tina looked forward to being able to talk to Bette, even though their conversations were never longer than ten minutes or so since both ladies were exhausted after long days, but Tina just needed to hear her voice as a reminder of what she had waiting for her at home. Tina knew Bette was going just as crazy as she was and even though Bette promised to try and come see her, Tina knew it was just another one of Bettes empty promises. This wasnt something she would ever hold against her though, because she knew that Bettes schedule was just as crazy as hers and Tina just reminded herself that she would be home in three months and she could spend every minute with Bette if she wanted to.

Tina got up and trudged to the shower hoping that the hot water would relieve some of her tension. It had been three months since theyd seen each other but even longer since they made love and Tina was getting cranky because of it. She did her best to keep her emotions in check but she was only human and she found herself becoming more and more irritable as the days went by. Tina turned the water on as hot as she could stand and slowly stepped under the water letting the water hit her shoulders and gently wash over her body. She was facing the showerhead and she put her hands on the wall in front of her and dipped her neck forward, groaning as she felt the water glide down her back. She imagined Bettes hands running over her instead and soon she felt a throbbing form between her legs that would never seemed to disappear no matter how hard she tried. Bette figured Tina would be gone most of the day and probably not be back until night so she went shopping for a little while and picked out some nice things for Alice as a thank you before returning to the hotel to wait for Tina. After showering and changing into a pair of jeans and a tank top Bette put on her boots and leather jacket and headed downstairs to have a cup of coffee at the bar so that she could wait for Tina. The entrance to the hotel was right in front of the lounge area, so Bette ordered her coffee and took a seat facing the sliding glass doors hoping that Tina would be arriving soon.

Three hours and four cups of coffee later Bette was getting a little irritated and kept glancing at her watch to see what time it was. Eleven thirtydamn Tinahow long are your days? Just then Bette heard the unmistakable sound of Tinas laugh and Bette snapped her head up with a smile on her face that quickly faded at what she saw. Tina was walking in and laughing with a very attractive guy, and Bette had to admit, Tina looked gorgeous. She just had on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but Bette had never seen her look sexier. Bette felt her temper rising faster than she had ever felt before, and after not seeing Tina for such a long time Bette knew she was going to be a little more testy than normal. Bette pursed her lips together and clenched her jaw trying to control herself while she watched Tina stop at the concierge desk to get her messages while continuing her conversation with that guy. Bette didnt really know what to do and she was not about to make a scene in the middle of the hotel lobby, so she calmly stood up and straightened out her jacket before walking over to Tina and tapping her on the shoulder. Tina turned around with a slightly agitated look on her face but when she saw Bette standing in front of her, a huge smile appeared on Tinas face and she threw her arms around Bette.

Oh my god babe what are you doing here?

Bette didnt know what to say since Tina had hugged her so hard it knocked the wind out of her and her attention was also a little distracted as she glared at the man standing next to Tina. Bettes nerves were on edge from all the coffee she drank and she was fighting hard for control over her voice and the words coming out of her mouth.

Tina leaned in to kiss Bette but Bette pulled away slightly since for one, they were in the middle of a crowded hotel lobby, and two, she was still glaring at the guy who Tina had been talking to as she walked in. Tina saw the look in Bettes eyes and she could tell Bette was doing her best to keep her composure so Tina decided getting her upstairs would be the fastest way to avoid any kind of unnecessary conflict.

Bette, this is Jeremy, hes working on the film with me.

Hi Bette, nice to meet you. Ive heard a lot about you.

Bette shook his hand and managed a small smile while still trying to maintain control over her temper.

Hi Jeremy.

Baby lets go upstairs and talk okay?

Bette just nodded and gave Jeremy a small smile before following Tina to the elevators. Once inside Tina turned to Bette and leaned in for the kiss she had been denied earlier. Bette let Tina kiss her but pulled back when she felt Tinas tongue pushing its way into her mouth.

As Bette was drifting off to sleep she thought about spending every night like this when Tina got back and she felt a smile form on her face knowing she finally felt content that her life was whole and complete.
