‘Thanks a bunch’
‘I’m kidding. Come on tell me everything? Have you found a story yet?’
‘Now I know you’re kidding. I’ve only been there one day Helena, I’m not going to find anything out in a few hours. I spent the day feeling things out, getting to know people.’
‘Ahh yea I suppose that’s the best way. What do I know, I’m just a photographer! How were the students then? And the teachers?’
‘They were…they were alright. There’s a group of students who I suppose are the ‘’cool kids’’ you know.’
‘No school is complete without cool kids and nerdy kids.’
Tina’s thoughts drifted to Kate. ‘There is this one girl. I guess they call her the nerdy one. I felt so sorry for her today. They were so mean.’
‘Bitches’ Helena said.
‘Yea, they really were. I’m going to find her tomorrow. See if I can help. I know what its like to be in that situation. I lived it for years!’
‘That’s the spirit, teach them a lesson. Let them know who the ‘mommy’ is.’
‘The what?’ Tina asked, raising her eyes in confusion.
‘The mommy, you know, like who’s your daddy, only you’re a woman so you’re the mommy.’
‘Okaaaaaaaaaay’ Tina said
‘Doesn’t really have the same affect does it’ Helena replied.
‘Not really…’
‘Oh well…So tell me about the teachers. Any hotties?’
Tina’s thoughts shifted from Kate to Bette Porter. What a stunner. After a few moments she heard Helena’s voice on the other side of the phone.
‘Hello? Tina?’
‘Yea, I’m here. I umm, didn’t really take much notice to be honest.’ she lied.
Helena grinned on the other side of the phone. Not wanting to embarrass Tina she changed the subject.
‘I’m sure there’s plenty more time for you to check them out then. Things are running smooth at work. Its so boring!’
Tina giggled. She knew Helena would be missing seeing her at work.
‘Anyway chick, I gotta get going.’
‘Oh, who are you seeing tonight then?’ Tina asked knowingly.
‘You just assume I’m seeing someone?’ Helena exclaimed. ‘Ok Ok, you’re right, you know me too well. There’s this junior photographer from the 10th floor. I bumped into her today in the restrooms. I told her id show her a thing or two…about the umm, photography equipment and such like…’ Helena trailed off.
‘And who better for the job then yourself Helena.’ Tina smiled.
‘Precisely. So anyway, pop in to work when you can. Its not the same without you. Speak to you soon me little chick-a-dee.’
‘Bye Helena.’
She hung up the phone and sat back. She decided to get a shower and then chill out on the sofa for the night.
Half an hour later, she came out of the bathroom only to discover Shane sitting on the couch.
‘Shane!’ she gasped surprised. ‘How long you been here?’
‘Hello to you too sis. I been here bout 10 minutes now. Heard you in the shower so I thought id just sit back and wait for you to get out.’
‘Gimme a few. I’ll get ready.’ she told her, heading into her bedroom.
‘Sure, then you can tell me about you first day of high school’ she laughed.

Later in bed, Tina thought about the days events. Talking to Shane about it had been a real eye opener. She had been reminded that it was Shane who helped her in school. Every time Tina would get picked on it would be younger sister to the rescue. This was kind of like her second chance. Her chance to stickup for herself. She would even try to help out others. Like Kate. Help her to believe in herself. Lift her head up and laugh in the face of the so called ‘cool kids’. She wanted to make her see that she WOULD be going places when she grew up. All she had to do was stick in with school work and studying.
Everyone needs a bit of fun though. Like Helena is always telling her. She needs to get out more. Enjoy life before its too late. This was what she would do tomorrow. Find Kate and become her friend, no matter if she wanted to or not.
She turned over on to her side. Her last thoughts before succumbing to her sleepiness were of a tall, dark haired woman that went by the name of Miss Porter.

Bette sounds like a hot teacher. I don’t know how Tina will handle it.. she was already scoping her out big time. Can’t wait for them to get to know each other better.
I’m enjoying this story. I thought the movie was hilarious especially the flashback scene when Drew Barrymore’s character was getting ready to go to the prom ans she was busy twirling and being happy, then the limo pulls up and they throw a tomatoe or something in her face!!! I laughed really hard at that scene.
I love your take on the story. It’s a mix of Never Been Kissed and Loving Annabelle, right? It would be great to have the knowledge of a 24 year old at the age of 17. It would make high school a lot more interesting. Can’t wait for your next post K!

I am always last, but hey I am trying. I had to laugh out loud because my occupation is as a PE teacher althought to 5-10 or 11 year olds. Bette and Tina or at least Tina is already getting that feeling of wanting to get to know Bette. I can’t wait to see how this story progresses.
I so do not remember any of my PE teachers looking like Bette Porter, I sooooooooooooooooo would have remembered that. They’re a couple of cuties.Looking good so far, bit concerned about Kate. I’m sure Tina and Bette will continue to flirt. Bette will feel guilty cos she believes Tina is a student, can’t wait till she finds out she’s not.

Hum, I think I may have a problem here. I’m franch and I have absolutely no idea what a PE teacher is, I’m going to guees that it could be the sport teacher… Anyway the story is really great. But I just remembered that there is no “action” until the end! I’m gonna die waiting!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm my my my Miss Porter the Phys Ed teacher! I’m not sure how it is where you live, but in the US there’s this myth that PE teachers are lesbians. lol Some are for sure, but not all. When you introduced Tina’s new friend I thought it would be Jenny. I’m trying really hard to picture nerdy Kate. LMFAO I just now got the image of Kate wearing the green jacket and Jenny’s bigass glasses from the tranny prom in S3. xD Ugh now I want to watch the movie again! Maybe I’ll rent it this weekend. PPS!
Im sure back in my school our PE Teach was a lesbo, but then again, I think thas just me, judging a book by it’s cover lol, altho Im sure I recall her having a husband mm can’t remember.Love the story, continue.
