Bette: (with watery eyes) “… thanks, Dr. Kroll”

In Bette’s bedroom

Tina: “what is happening, auntie…? where is my mom?”

Sharon: “everything is fine, your mom left yesterday for an unforeseen mission she will be out of town for few days”

Tina: “Does it have to do with the curfew?”

Sharon: (‘God, she is very smart’) “… well, just a little, but don’t worry everything is under control, now tell me how is your life here, I see that you and Bette are close”

Tina: (blushing, ‘no, I’m not going there’) “things are good here; tell me when may I talk to mom?”

Sharon: “It will be soon, I promise, are you going to stay overnight here with Bette?”

Tina: “NO…, WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME?”

Sharon: “calm down Tina, is fine …”

Tina: “no…, she is just my friend”

Sharon: “sure she is, I noticed that yesterday in the ballroom”

Tina: (‘I’m done’) “nothing wrong happened in the ballroom…, was my mother with you?”

Sharon: “yes, she was and she saw how you fed Bette”

Tina was red-faced and silent looking at the ground

Sharon: “it is fine Tina; don’t be ashamed of your actions… and feelings…”

Tina: “I need to talk to mom”

Sharon: “I’ll see what I can do, okay… well I’m better leaving, see you soon Tina”

Tina: “see you, auntie”

Sharon and Tina kiss goodbye and the woman open the door and leave the bedroom. Tina’s eyes start getting wet.

Outside, Phyllis has her hand in Bette’s shoulder.

Phyllis: “ready Sharon?”

Sharon: “yes”

Sharon walks toward Bette.

Sharon: “nice to see you, Bette, please take care of each other…”

Bette: (looking to the bedroom) “thanks, take care you too professors”

After closing and locking the door, Bette walks to the bedroom; Tina is sitting on the bed sobbing as Bette is. The brunette sits beside the younger and moves her arm around Tina’s shoulder, Tina leans on her.

Bette: (sighing) “don’t take me wrong, but how about we sleep together, just to cuddle up, I feel that I need to have someone on my side”

Tina: (breathing deep) “yes, I feel the same, I will bring my pajamas”

Bette: “No Tina, don’t leave I have many pajamas I will lend you one”
