    Author Notes:

    B/T beginning: Alice finds herself in a situation and Bette and Tina find themselves together.

    Previously… 

    “Thank you for a lovely night. Maybe I will see you at the concert after all?”

    “Maybe” Tina smiled.

    Bette flashed Tina one last smile before heading out the door.

    Tina couldn’t help but giggle as she watched Bette jog over to Shane and surprisingly grab the shoe out of Shane’s hands, handing it back to Alice, and then pulling Shane into a head lock.

    Tina shook her head as she ventured back into the office, listening to the laughter of the women fade out into the background.

    CHAPTER 8

     

    It was early the next morning and Bette was up getting ready to go for a run. She had on her black jogging suit and laced up some clean white running shoes. She was busy doing some stretches on the floor as she listened to her ipod quietly.

     

    “I have no idea how you manage to get up this early” Shane mumbled running her hand through her hair as she emerged from her bedroom. She stepped over a stretching Bette making sure to pull out one of Bette’s ear buds on the way.

     

    “It’s refreshing” grunted Bette as she reached to hold her left foot and then shifted to reach for her right.

     

    “A nice cold drink or a dip in the pool during the midday heat is refreshing. Waking up extra early to strain your muscles as your race down a freezing street is NOT refreshing” said Shane as she disappeared into the bathroom.

     

    “Well… to each their own” Bette called after her placing her ear bud back into her ear. She then hopped up from the floor, jogged in spot a couple times making sure all her muscles were loosened up before heading out the door.

     

     

    Meanwhile across town, a blonde dentist also tied her shoelaces and ventured outside. The cool air hit her like a ton of bricks. She much preferred to do her running on a treadmill within the comforts of her own apartment, but today was slightly different.  She had some errands to run, and only a short amount of time to do it. It was Meghan’s birthday that weekend, and she had to quickly get out to order some supplies before the twelve year old woke up and caught on to her birthday surprise. Mind you, she also had to rush because she had left Alice behind to watch the fort while she completed the morning tasks. Something she wasn’t too fond of, but a necessity on this chilly morning.

Anyway, I’m sorry, I may have not gotten what you meant, since as you know, my English is not that good, you think you won what ?… LMAO !!! Hahahaha ! Well, alright, so let’s imagine just for a second that you indeed won the challenge… How do you plan on collecting the prize ?… ‘Coz, You know, I’m still not living exactly next door to you and if memory serves I believe you were supposed to come over here ( wink !)… Anyway, this was an hilarious chapter, and a really cute one as well. It makes me realize I’ve really missed your stories very much. Thank YOU !

    17. I almost didn’t recognise your story glad to see it back though. I totally agree with Sammer I think Bette likes the way Tina reacts to her she kissed her on the cheek and now they are going on a date. PPS
