    Previously…

"Yes it was, I hope it was an ok way to say thank you."

"It definitely is Tina. May I ask you something?"

"Sure you can ask me anything"

"May I ask you out on a second date?" Bette asked while she began to blush

Tina seemed to fall deep in thought before she answered

"I’m sorry Bette you can’t. I was just back here in LA for 3 months for business and I’m
moving back to New York next week. And I promised myself not to fall in love."
    ——————–

What did she just say? Did I hear it right? This could not be happening, she promised
herself not to fall in love, then why did she make me fall in love with her?

Bette mind flooded with emotions, anger, fear, hate, betrayal, sadness, shocked but most
of  all confusion. But even though her mind was working overtime on emotions she
didn’t feel any, she went numb. She wanted to scream but she didn’t have the energy,
she couldn’t even cry, all the joy and energy was sucked right out of her by those words.
She quickly turned away from Tina and making her way to leave.

    "Wait Bette"

Bette turned around for the last time but didn’t say anything.

    "I’m sorry but…"

Before Tina could finish the sentence Bette spoke quietly

"Goodbye Tina" and started to leave for good.

She walked to her car, got inside and started the engine. She drove back home faster
    than usual. She was devastated.
After what seemed like the longest ride home, but in fact was the fastest ever, she parked
her car on the driveway and made her way to the front door. When walking inside she
took her cellphone out of her purse and dialed the number of her best friend and neighbor
Shane. When she heard the phone beeping and being answered she looked through her
window and saw her neighbor, also with her cellphone against her ear.

    "Hi Bette"

    "Shane, take me out"

"Ok" and with that both women shut their phones and Shane made her way over next door.
She didn’t need any further explanation she knew enough. For that gift her friends often
called her <<Yoda>>, she had the power of knowing things by few words spoken.
