    More Than a Feeling

It was just around lunchtime when Dana remembered exactly what it was that she forgot, and it hit her like a ton of large, angry bricks. Her stomach fell somewhere by her knees as she staggered from class, propping herself against the wall by the door. She made the mistake of looking around, and saw Lara weaving through the crowd, waving as she spotted Dana.

And if that wasn’t bad enough…

“Hey Dane!” Alice chirped, coming up from the left, touching Dana’s arm.

Dana nearly jumped out of her skin, her eyes as wide as saucers. She looked back down the hall to her right; Lara was still making her way over. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!

“Hey, are you okay? You look kind of pale.”

Dana turned back to Alice, her mouth open, but there was no sound coming out. Alice looked really concerned, which Dana would’ve thought was sweet if she wasn’t sure she was having a heart attack. Just as Alice was about to say something more, Lara walked up.

“Hi.” She said, a little sweetly, a little shyly, as she looked from Dana to Alice, and then back to Dana. “Jeeze, are you all right?”

She felt faint; she could hear her heartbeat in her ears. How am I going to explain this? Explain? I can’t even seem to close my mouth!

Alice looked over at Lara. “Hi.” She said tentatively, before returning her focus back to Dana, who seemed frozen to the spot. “Dana!” She snapped her fingers in front of Dana’s face, which seemed to pull her from her trance.

She flinched, blinking rapidly, sucking in a large amount of air. “I’m sorry what?” The question came out in a strangled cry.

Both Lara and Alice looked at one another before looking back at Dana. “We…didn’t say anything.” Lara answered. “Are you okay?”

Alice cast a sideways glance at Lara, wondering who she was and how she knew Dana. She decided to ignore it for now. “You looked like you were going to pass out.”

Dana shook her head. “No…j-just hungry.”

“Well, I guess it’s a good thing we’re going to lunch then.” Lara replied, looking at Alice and then back to Dana.

    1. U are forgiven. That was definitely enjoyable, but PLEASE do not let Bette give up her DREAM of going to Yale. LET her fill out and mail her application. If it is meant to be, it is meant be and everything will work out for the best for her and Tina.

    2. Hey manda! i just wanna say, you are forgiven. It’s okay that you didn’t post sooner, life gets in the way some times. Don’t worry about it. You are such a talented writer, don’t think otherwise. Plus, your true fans will always read your post, not matter how long they waited. That’s just my two cents. Anywhooo, awesome chappy!..i cannot wait too see what happens at Dana’s house with all the girls there. I know that b and T won’t be able to take their hand off of eachother. I love how much Tina kinda changed bette too, cause unlike b4, she now doesn’t think of school as her first priority. MMkayy, post SOONER for next time, lol.

    3. I missed this story very much! But you have posted 7 pages.. so you are forgiven. Lol… Not a good idea to hide it from the old Porter, Bette is so dead if he finds out. But please let Bette talk to Tina about the Yale thingy, as I don’t think the future Bette would have the answer too. She needs to work it out with Tina. Loved it…please post soon and don’t leave us that long again. cheers :)

    4. Avoiding those places would be okay if they were just friends who have a tendency to make out when they are alone. But couples need alone time. You’re forgiven since you gave us a pretty long chapter. Bette knows she has to discuss Yale with Tina. In the end, if Yale is the best choice for what Bette wants to study, then she should go. Psh I wouldn’t be surprised if Tina has enough credits to graduate early even if it means picking up a class or two in summer school. But then Tina would have to make sure that Yale is what she wants as well. This is one of those times that would make me never repeat my teen years again no matter how much someone paid me to do it.

    5. wonderful chapter, as long as you post, i’ll be waiting…the end reminded me of X-files episode “Nothing important happened today”…love this story…i hope they won’t take the cooling off forever though

    6. Forgiven, in fact…took the time out and printed it for the 25 min train ride.I only do that for very authors.. ;) Whenever you post next, can you have more sharmen..I really like how your building the tension with them. Thanks!

    7. Manda, where can I get this thing called “self-control?” I ask because the happy dance that I do when I see that you’ve posted is becoming even more spastic. Are you forgiven? Absofuckinglutely…despite the anxiety attacks that I get as I see that I’m getting to the end of a chapter. Nonetheless, high-10 for another stellar chapter! Alice, “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away” like The Beatles right about now. I respect Jr. TiBette cooling things but that sexual frustration is going to (my apologies for the following poor choice of words) come to a head with someone getting angry despite the promise of understanding…sorry, was I projecting a past experience on Jr. Tibette again? Whatever, if you’re writing I’m reading, Manda. And a big thank you for saving me from a heart attack…I thought Bette left the Yale application at Tina’s house. I’m not ashamed to beg you to post soon…so, please post soon! Take care of yourself.

    8. Welcome back and I did sorely miss this story. I went to the beach and kind of burned myself. Do you think that I could borrow the lotion that Bette put on Tina and maybe have one or both of them put it on for me? So they finally talked and hopefully will move on from there. Bette should go ahead and fill out the application and since Tina is pretty smart maybe she can apply and be there within the next school year. Post when you can.

    9. More than a feeling is one of the hottest stories of the site and you know it, that’s why you’re so forgiven. Don’t you think that it was too drastic B&T’s decision, make out and some time alone are the perks of being a couple!!! I thought that Bette was going to Yale would be interesting since it was a B&T beginning so they’d be away from each other, we have to wait to see what you got in store for us.

    10. Hmmmm….should I forgive you???….hmmmm OK you’re forgiven LOL. I love this story and your amazing writing, so please post when you can. About the post, Bette please don’t listen to Alice about Yale, talk to Tina now and tell her everything, just be honest with her, Tina will expect that, I’m sure. Why can’t they just be together in places where there are other people like the mall, instead of being separated, that way they’ll never get where they both want. They have to get to really know each other in ordre to get to second base LOL. Post soon please…

    11. Hey, I was missing your story, it’s one of my favourites! So glad you are back! So don’t stay MIA for so long anymore. Let’s see how well they avoidance strategy is going to work. Personally, I don’t think our girls will be happy with it for very long.

    12. Manda, I completely adore this story. You manage to convey all of the passion, fear and longing that Bette and Tina are feeling. The honest exuberance of youth is perfectly pitched as all of the gals deal with the ebb and flow of life. Thank you for creating an open conversation about making love between these two ‘virgins’. Their emotions and feelings are overwhelming and terrifying yet their trust is strong enough to allow them to share these. Wonderful writing, full of emotive scenes. Dana really needs to sort out her head on the Alice v Lara debate. Maybe this weekend will clear the fog. Shane was brilliant in realizing that Bette was struggling and allowing her to go snd fix things. Now Bette needs to tell Tina about Yale and discuss the ramifications then she should tell her father. Things that are buried only fester and rot and destroy. Much gratitude for your awesome gift. It is a real pleasure to read and brightens my day. Your Loyal Fan.

    13. Hey girl! Wow… what a comeback… And you are so right that great minds think alike O.o *blinkblink* I really love where this is going and I hope you will continue soon!

    14. glad that you posted it! thanks! is good to know that B&T talk some issues but still remaind Yale talk, maybe they need to talk and choise together in order to go to a school where they can continue their relationship! thanks again for the post was really great!
