Tina arrived at the gym a half hour early feeling upbeat. She went into the locker room to change into proper attire. Once she finished, she walked out catching Bette walking in. “Hey Bette”

Bette was dragging; she had not gotten a good night’s rest. She turned to look at Tina who had welcomed her. “Hey.” She mumbled and walked over to the lockers to shove her bag in one of the cubby holes.

Tina walked up alongside her. “Hey, are you okay?” Tina reached her hand out bringing it to rest on Bette’s arm. She heard Bette’s breath hitch, both brought their eyes down to look. Tina was the first to look back up at Bette. She noticed sadness etched across her face. Tina was confused with why Bette would be so sad. She wrapped her arm around Bette’s shoulder guiding her to a bench. “What’s going on?”

Bette looked up into Tina’s eyes. “I…um…well it’s been five years to this day my ex cheated on me.” Bette lied; well it wasn’t a lie since it was true. It was the fact that she was having a hard time processing the feelings she was developing for her new boxer.

Tina smiled sweetly. “Well, he missed out on an amazing woman.”

Bette laughed dryly finding it humorous. Tina figured it was a man. Bette decided to test the waters. “It was a she.”

Tina was rubbing Bette’s back when Bette had responded. “Excuse me?”

Bette looked up at Tina. “My ex was a she.”

Tina became flustered feeling stupid for assuming it was a “he”. “Oh! I’m sorry I just figured you were…uh…well.”

Bette smirked and answered. “Straight? I get that a lot trust me.”

Tina wasn’t sure what to say next all she knew was there was a difference she noticed in the air between the two. Finally she found her words. “Well, I’m ready when you are.”

Bette took a deep breath standing up, hating the loss of contact with Tina. “Let’s do some cardio today. I need a run and it’ll build up your stamina.”

Tina nodded grabbing a pair of sneakers and throwing them on. In no time, they both were outside stretching before their run. Bette was in front of Tina bending over and stretching out her hamstrings. Tina was doing the same and caught herself looking up to stare at Bette. She eyed Bette’s ass thinking it looked so firm and sexy. She shook the thought of her head wondering why she had such an impure thought of her trainer. Maybe it was because she told me she was gay…No that doesn’t have anything to do with it. All I know is, I am having a strange feeling in my stomach like butterflies, Tina thought.
