Chapter 4

Carlos anxiously waits for his baby daughter in his car.

Carlos: (What happen if she don’t like school and people already start to bully her)

Negative thoughts is going through Carlos mind as he sits there and waits for his daughter after her first day of school.

Carlos: (Maybe I should have keep her home and home schooled her)

Carlos was so deep in his thoughts that he didn’t see his daughter says goodbye to her new friend and gets in the car.

Hi daddy Carmen greets her father with a kiss on the cheek.

Carlos snaps back to reality.

Oh hi baby how was school Carlos asks.

Carmen: School was ok very easy.

Carlos thoughts so far so good, she seems to love school.

That night for dinner Carmen was happily telling her mom everything that happens during her first day of school. Carlos is still in his own mind afraid to let her daughter go and experience new things.

Friday

After school waiting for Carmen father to pick her up.

Carmen is jumping up and down around Shane, finally Friday has come.

Carmen: Shane is Friday! (Carmen dances around Shane happily)

Shane just watches Carmen amused and chuckles at her cute happy dance.

Carmen: Aren’t you happy its Friday??

Shane: It ok I got nothing to do for the weekend anyways. How about you Carmen you seems to be crazy about Friday, what you got plan for the weekend.

Carmen: Well because I get to sleep few more extra hours and in our household we always have a cook out every Sunday. Plus I will be Djing anyways. Yeah!

Shane knows Carmen passion for music because she been talking about it all week but never seen her Dj before.

Carmen: Shane you should totally come to hangout Sunday.

Shane is all of a sudden nervous because she aint use to big crowds and worse parents.

Shane: Ummm (scratching back of her head a nervous sign) I don’t want to bother since is a family thing, plus I don’t know what to wear.

Shane goes on and on finding an excuse that Carmen will accepts. Carmen is just staring at Shane, arms fold.
