Jacqui woke up to the sound of the alarm, she carefully
removed her arm that was wrapped around Amy and turned the alarm off.

“I hate that alarm!” Amy said keeping her head in the pillow

Jacqui lay on her side facing her wife who was lying flat on
her tummy with her head in the pillow.

“You look so cute right about now” Jacqui smiled

“Oh thanks babe it’s great to know I look cute when my face
is in a pillow” Amy said moving so she could face Jacqui

Jacqui leaned in kissing her softly “Morning”

“Morning” Amy yawned as she got out of bed and made her way
to the bathroom

Jacqui got up going downstairs and into the kitchen
“Morning” She smiled at Ashley

“So have you thought about it?” Ashley said getting straight
to the point

“Ashley can I have a bit more time” Jacqui laughed “I’m just
awake and I need to discuss it with Amy”

“Why do you need to discuss it with Amy it’s a promotion”
Ashley responded

“She’s my wife and it would increase my hours yes?”

“Yeah just a little it will increase your wage too though”

“And add a mountain of stress” Jacqui laughed jumping up on
the unit

Amy walked into the kitchen fully dressed and ready for
university, Jacqui handed her a mug of tea.

“Thanks” Amy said stealing a kiss “Where’s Spencer?”

“She’s still asleep” Ashley smiled

“Alright for some” Amy stated “I can’t be arsed at all with
this class”

“What you doing today?” Jacqui asked

“Stage presence and the importance of sound checks” Amy
explained “I’ve had enough experience in it without being told how to bloody do
it”

“I’m off to get dressed” Ashley smiled “you driving or am
I?”

“I’ll drive I don’t mind” Jacqui offered

“Babe take my car because yours needs fixed”

“We can take my car I just don’t want to drive” Ashley
smiled “You’re insured to drive it anyway”

“Okay whatever suits” Jacqui said
as Ashley left going upstairs           

“What’s on your mind?” Amy asked
facing her wife and walking towards her

Jacqui opened her legs so Amy
could stand between them and wrapped her arms around Amy.

“This promotion what do you want
me to do?”

“Baby you do whatever you want to
do, I’ll support whatever decision you make, your career is important to you”
