    Chapter 2: Tina wants to make peace, but is anyone listening?


    Previously:

    I waited a good five minutes after Bette left before I even attempted to look at the phone that was occupying my increasingly sweaty palms. Finally after I was sure that Bette was safely stuck in traffic and could not come home, I dialed. After a few rings she picked up.

    “Hey…um, Tina. Yeah its Jude.”

    God forgive me.

    ____________________________________________________________________ Chapter 2 “Hey Jude, its good to talk to you again. But I was kinda of expecting it to be Bette.”

    “Yeah I know. But I dont think that going to happen Tina. Not today or any day soon.”

    “Oh that bad, huh?”

    “Well she didnt spit fire of anything. So I think were making progress.”

    “How is she?”

    “What do you want from her Tina?” I asked a little too bluntly. But of all her stalling tactics and subtle ways of trying to pump me for information was kind of getting to me.

    “I really think I should talk to Bette about that, Jude.” She snapped right back.

    “I dont think that a great idea Tina. I dont know what happened…..”

    “Thats right you dont, so dont assume that you do.”

    “Nevertheless, I know that when Bette is alone with you, she doesnt stand a chance. Shes still putty in your hands Tina, in case you already didnt know. She would do anything to make you happy, including giving up her daughter. And I think she should be protected for that and you from now on.”

    “Bettes a strong woman. She can stand up to anything. Ive seen her……”

    “Except you.” I said loud enough to cut her off. She didnt, couldnt say anything to that, but that didnt stop my temper from flaring. The more I remembered the conversations I had with Alice about Bettes affair, the year after it, Angies birth, Papas death, and finally the way Tina took everything from Bette, the more agitated I got.

    “Did you hear me Tina? She cant stand up to you. Shes practically a love sick puppy when it comes to you. And now you call out of the blue after almost a year of nothing wanting to talk? I dont think so.” She continued to stay quiet. I mean she didnt say anything, but I could hear her muffling small cries. Great, now if she does talk to Bette, shes gonna tell her I made her cry.

    1. Great chapter, I like Jude and hopes that she gets together with Dani. Tina’s next move should be to go ahead and sign the adoption paper and send them to Bette via Jude to file. Bette is going to need more than words from Tina here. Please continue, This is the first story that introduces one of Bette’s siblings–fresh:o)

    2. Your story is like a breath of fresh air and I think it’s b/c of Jude. She has a great personality and excellent sense of humor. Just enough familiarity to tell Bette what she needs to hear.

    4. This is a great story. I like the fact that you do not hate Tina. She is misguided at times, but how can you hate someone like her. IC screwed her all up. Back to the story, Jude is the best cousin to have placed herself as the middle woman to help out these two crazy in love women. If they did not love each other still they would not be running away from each other. I hope that Jude will get Bette to at least talk to Tina. Maybe Dani can help out also.

    6. i like it so much!it seems to me that Tina wake up and get some senses again!but Bette is rigth she is so hurth because all the stupid thing Tina did. Jude is the help that Bette need! she can make that this two work out somethings. Great chapter i hope read soon another chapter, keep writting
