    re-discovery

    Where is Alice?” Tina asked as Bette stood to gather the dishes left from Tina’s meal.

     

    “She went back to L.A. to pick up some clothes and her laptop.  She is coming back sometime late tomorrow,” Bette answered nervously.  Not wanting to see the look of dread on Tina’s face at the realization that only she and Bette were here she walked quickly from the room.

     

    Tina didn’t know whether she was thrilled that they were alone or terrified by it.  She allowed her mind to drift back to a time long ago when she wanted nothing more than to be alone with Bette.  When the two had first begun to date Tina had been overwhelmed by her presence.  No matter how much time the two spent together it never seemed to be enough for either of them.  Now being alone with her was somewhat alien to her.  The only thing that she was sure of was that Bette was as nervous as she was.

     

    “Bette when you finish up in the kitchen will you come here for just a second?” Tina yelled.

     

    “Be right there,” Bette replied as she stood staring aimlessly out the kitchen window. Tina’s voice jolted her from her thoughts and she turned and placed the dishes in the dishwasher and turned back towards the bedroom.

     

    “What can I do for you madam?” Bette asked as she entered the room with yet another rose.

     

    “Wow two trips, two roses remind me to keep you coming back here,” Tina laughed.

    “Alice was supposed to help me take a shower tonight.  I’m feeling pretty tired but I desperately wanted a shower,” she sighed.  “I guess one more day to wait won’t kill me huh?”

     

    Bette looked nervously at her and said, “What if I help you?”

     

    Tina looked at Bette and said, “Are you sure that you wouldn’t mind? I really can wait for Alice.”  She studied Bette’s reaction to her question.

     

    “I’ll help you with anything you need Tina,” Bette replied nervously.

     

    “Let’s do it then maybe it will make me feel better,” Tina said quietly.  Although she feared the awkwardness of the situation her desire for a hot shower won out.

    3. This just keeps getting better. They are too cute. Maybe they can reconnect first and then talk, okay, talk first. Too funny about Bette being naked and driving Tina crazy. Lovin it, can’t wait for more.
