Chapter 80
Helena was standing at the bar waiting to be served when Shane walked up to her
“Hia – you okay ?”
“That champagne was pretty strong – I didn’t think it would have that much of a kick”
“Decent champagne can give you one of the worst possible hangovers. At Christmas the three of us got through a couple of bottles of Bette’s fathers best stuff and we were all utterly wrecked. Bette is so funny when she’s drunk “
“She’s on good form at the moment “
“She’s very glad the exams are over – 18 weeks before she has to go back into bookworm mode “
“Helena- how serious is this Molly thing ?
Helene frowned
“It really has affected both of them for different reasons. Bette is just scared that Tina will give into Molly and Tina is scared that Bette will flip with Molly and all hell will erupt “
“What sort of things does she do ?”
“Its not so much what she does – it just the fact that she can pop up without any notice. We were out on Sunday having our lunch in a nice quiet village pub and as we were leaving there she was in her nice flash car. Bette goes crazy when she sees her “
“What does she say to Bette ?”
“Nothing -that’s the whole thing – she totally blanks Bette. She just looks through her — that just makes Bette so angry. “
“Does she come onto Tina in front of Bette ?”
“Makes lots of offers about how she could be a huge star if she dumped you lot “
Shane sighed “Tina has an amazing voice “
“She does – but Tina is 19 years old and her whole world is Bette and her friends. She’s got no one but us. When she was thrown out at Christmas we all rallied round her – she was so afraid of being on her own in the world. I know she could look after herself – probably better than any of us but she shouldn’t have to “
“Alice feels bad about this – she was the one who went to Molly and sold the band to her”

Thank you for this great update. Bette is so funny when she’s drunk. LOL! I just hope Molly doesn’t catch Bette in a bad mood or she’ll loose her head. Alpha Bette is sexy Bette but Tina needs to call the shots when it comes to Molly. So is Alice getting it on with Dana? Hmmm,not a good idea. Maybe you can bring in Tasha? Thanks again Ally!
Uh oh, Dana and Alice are sexin’ it up behind Lara’s back!!! Silly Bette was quite fun. I love the bonding between Shane and Tina and how Shane pointed out that Tina wasn’t alone anymore. I love your story and can’t wait for more.

Hurray! Good riddance Lara. I like her character but dana and alice were like goofy, silly bette and tina. Your story is absolutely amazing. Please have Tina propose to Bette in front of Molly of something. Or have Molly be drained of her venom and be sent to Australia or something. Anyone that comes between B + T is horrible. Even if Tina doesn’t hook up with Molly, Bette’s insecurities may be bad.
Tina needs to make her stand with molly once and for all! bette is so funny when she is trashed. the conversation between helena and shane and shane and tina was just amazing! omg alice and dana? what about poor lara… this is gonna get interesting! :)
So mature intellectually but so young and vunarable in other aspects of thier lives. I hope Tina is able to tell Molly in no uncertain terms that she is with Bette and intends to stay that way for as long as possible. Molly is just an old perv and there is nothing that she can offer Tina other than a few singing gigs that Bette couldn’t easily afford to give to Tina now without even blinking an eye, but Bette wouldn’t flaunt her money because she knows Tina loves her no matter how much she is worth. Poor Al she should have just come out (no pun intended) and told her friends what was going on instead of agonizing over it and making herself crazy. Great chapter as always pps.
Hey AllyE, Great to have another wonderful post of this awesome adventure. I just lvoe how you capture the reality of these gals and their situation. Your dialogue just flows off the tongue like water. Honest and truthful to these gals. Bette’s being tipsy and sharing was a dream to read. Tina’s gentle restraint was perfectly balanced against Alice’s desire to find the truth and eroticism between Bette and Tina. Loved the Shane and Tina moment. These gals have survived their families or lack thereof and made it all the way here. Congreats to them both. Molly is Bette’s problem but loved how Shane said all the gals would be there for Bette. Thank you Ally. After a day hanging curtain rails etc as we are moving house it was great to come home and relax with a chapter of Love and Pride.
