    Lost & Found, Ch2

SHANNON- “Don’t worry Tina, I’m sure you’ll find your way. If you need anything at all, I’m happy to help.”

TINA- (Smiling but feeling a bit anxious as she navigates Shannon’s gaze.) “Thank you. Alice and Bette have been so helpful so….”

BETTE- “Well, met Shannon already have you? Hi Shannon. If you would excuse me, you’re in my seat.” (Shannon smirks and starts to stand.)

SHANNON- “Oh my, there I go again assailing Porter’s space. Here you go Bette, it’s all yours.” (As Bette switches places, Shannon whispers in her ear as Alice chats with Tina… ‘sorry Porter, but you’re outa luck…straight as an arrow.’ Bette gives her a look to remind Shannon of just how unwelcome she is and then looks at Alice and Tina as Shannon says her goodbyes.)

ALICE- “Man she’s fast. She was over here in a nanosecond.”

    TINA- “You’re not friends?”

ALICE- “Well, I guess we’re all friends here one way or another but that woman is a mutation of Shane…the latter has a conscience and a heart, while the former just has needs she wants to satisfy and that’s about all she’s got.”

BETTE- “She’s not THAT bad, just a bit of a player.”

    ALICE- “Oh please.”

    BETTE- “Whatever. She’s gone now.”

    TINA- “Interesting place.”

    BETTE- “The café?”

TINA- “Mhm. You come here often?”

BETTE- (Chuckles at the phrase…) “Almost every day for coffee.”

TINA- “Your sister seems really nice too.”

BETTE- “She’s doing really well with the place.” (Tina gazes over Bette’s face and catches glimpses of her eyes and then her hands.) “Here’s your latte.” (And with that, Bette almost loses her grip of the mug as a touch of Tina’s hand grazes her own.)

    ALICE- “Easy there Porter…”

    BETTE- “Sorry…”

TINA- “It’s ok, caught it in time.”

ALICE- “Hey, don’t I get my latte?”

    BETTE- “It’s right there Alice.”

ALICE- “Mhm…just dropped there for me to find it huh?” (Bette sends an unapproving look.) “So T…Tina…you were saying you’re from out east?”

TINA- “Yes ma’am…” (Tina suddenly looks up as a handsome fellow approaches, smiling. She looks overjoyed as she practically jumps from her seat and into his embrace. Bette and Alice look on as Alice follows Bette’s reactions a little more carefully than the scene before her.)

    1. Hee Hee T, if you could only see me smiling throughout. This was lovely, and quite entertaining. I like the light, playful banter. So sweet. So…you got Chapter three hanging somehwere? LMAO!

    3. Bette really doesn’t seem to be living up to the “Lothario” title Alice gave her. Maybe Alice is wrong about Tina, too. She better be or we won’t have much of a story.

    4. I have missed your storytelling — so glad that you are back with another. And I always get such a kick out of the names you come up with for your characters!! Thanks for sharing with us.

    5. Just caught up with both chapters… cute B&T beginning so far ;) Something is cooking with the relationship between Bette,EB,and Justine..interesting mix. Look forward to your next post and glad to have you back.
