The sounds of a rhythm and blues guitar filled the air. A deep, raspy female voice could be heard singing in harmony with the guitar. It was a bright, clear Saturday morning in L.A. The Planet was alive with people searching for their first cappuccino or espresso enjoying the music that filled the air.
Tina was slowly drinking her coffee and mindlessly thumbing through the L.A. Times. Angelica was with her, quietly finishing her breakfast and watching her mother.
“Is that good sweetie?” Tina asked of her daughter.
Angelica smiled around a piece of toast that she had in her mouth. Tina found herself laughing at the comical look on her daughters face. The laugh felt good. She had almost forgot what it was like to laugh since she watched Bette walk out of her life again and into the arms of another woman. She knew she had helped make that happen though. Maybe she should have been more honest with Bette, told her that she wanted her back. Somehow, she couldn’t do it. She couldn’t bring herself to hurt Bette, not again.
Tina leaned over, wiped Angelica’s face, and passed her milk over to her. Just as she started to go back to skimming the paper, Kit walked up to the table with two coffees and another cup of milk.
“I have got to be the only lounge or club in town with a full stock of sippie cups behind the bar,” Kit said as she placed the coffee in front of Tina and the milk in front of Angelica.
Angelica smiled at Kit, excited to see her aunt. Kit sat down across from her and took the second cup of coffee, taking a long drink of it.
“Did you have a long night last night?” Tina asked without really looking up from her paper.
“Yeah, sure did,” Kit said with a sigh. “It was one of our busiest nights. You missed quite the party. Shane and Paige showed up. Even Alice showed her face for an hour or so.”
“Really,” Tina asked. She wasn’t really paying attention. Her thoughts were elsewhere.
“Hello, Tina? Earth to Tina?” Kit said as she waved her hand in front of Tina’s paper.
Tina shook her head, trying to clear and focus her mind.

OK I am totally sitting here with a HUGE smile on my face. I know we’ve discussed this and so I knew what was going to happen, but to see it beginning to play out is amazing. My dear “Yang” I have to say that your writing is amazing. I love that you are working with multiple storylines and playing them all out nicely! It takes true talent to do it. OK..bring on the drama! IMO you have great talent. Your story is complex, multi-layered and puts the reader slightly off center w/the twists and turns. So interesting! I don’t remember any writer bringing Bette’s mother into a story. Looks as if the “Green Goddess” has visited Jodi. Tina and Angie will always hold a special place in Bette’s life and heart. Deal w/it, Jodi. It’s ironic that Jodi started out anti-monogamy but now resents Bette’s connection to Tina. PPS. This is really outstanding.
Did Tasha lose any limbs?

Oh my, this will very interesting. Can hardly wait for Bette to realize she should be with Tina and get herself back to LA, tell Tina she loves her and come face to face with her mother. Oh boy. PPS

Oh goodie, Bette’s mom has made an appearance. Why did Jodi not say something to Bette about the picture of Tina and Angelica? Actually I am glad that Bette has a picture of those two. Tasha sounds like she has been hurt. I hope that she is in one piece, Although her mental status maybe off.

I couldn’t give a damn about Tina but I’m delighted to see some Tasha/Alice fic on this site. I hope nothing horrible has happened to Tasha. More on the Tasha/Alice front, there isn’t enough of that around the net.
