Dana – but he’s jakes father! I thought that…..well I know I’m not the brightest person but I do know you must have fucked him once Al. d’ah Jake!
Alice – Will isn’t jakes biological father, but he’s been there for me and Jake since day 1 and as far as I’m and Jake are concerned he is his father ok.
Dana – so who is jakes father Al?
Alice – look Dana this really isn’t a conversation I want to be having right now, so can we please just change the subject.
Dana moves closer to Alice, puts her hand on her arm, looks deep into her eyes and says – I’m sorry al. – there is an awkward silence.
Dana – Al, I meant everything I said earlier you know, I do still love you, please believe me
Alice – I believe you, I just don’t think I have the strength to deal with this at the moment that’s all, there’s just to much else going on.
Alice has tears welling up in her eyes and is about to crack when Dana pulls her close and holds her tight, slowly rocking her, taking in her scent.
Dana – I’m sorry Al
Alice – you seem to be saying that a lot at the moment Dana
Dana – yeah I do, but I mean it Alice I really do – she pulls back brushes the hair from Alices face, – look we better get back out there they will be wondering what the hell we are up to in here, we can talk later if that’s what you want. I know I do.
Alice – yeah I do. Come on lets get out of here. – Alice turns to walk out of the bathroom, she turns back and outs her hand out for Dana to hold.
Both women walk out of the bathroom hand in hand, wiping tears away from the eyes.
They rejoined the women at the table, and joined in the conversations occasionally glancing up at eachother and smiling. Everyone had said their goodbyes and agreed to meet in a few days for morning coffee. Alice had a lot to sort out, Jake was starting school and she had another hospital appointment to attend.

Al has to get through the surgery! They have to be together and happy! Well, this was a great update, I can’t wait for the next!!
Great job I’m glad I found this fic, the kiss was amazingly sweet and very down to earth and Alice’s reaction after was very authentic keep writng I’m really enjoying!

I agree with Dawsons23 Al has to get through. We got enough sadness on the show I’m counting on fanfics to bring and keep them together. Loved this update and hope all goes well.
I love it how protective Will is of Alice. Good to have some hope their might be a bright future for Danish. :) I hope Alice will recover well from the surgery.
Ok so I’m totally addicted to this story! Great job! And yes Al has to get through the surgery. I’d like to see some more Alice/Dana/Jake outings- they are just so cute. Please don’t keep us hanging for too long!
