    London Lights Chapter Two

Helena flings herself back onto Alices couch, sighing dramatically. “I’m knackered. Alice can you get me a drink?”

“What? I’m not your slave Helena. I’ve had a busy morning too” Alice stands infront of her, hands on her hips and a defiant look in her eye.

“Oh really?” Helena raised an eyebrow, looking around the apartment to see it was still in a mess from last night. “Well you haven’t been cleaning” She motioned around the room with her hand, pointing at the beer bottles on the bookshelves. “I’ve spent all morning on the phone to The Dorchester, then to Hugo Boss, then to Heathrow Airport. Its exhausting”

Alice sat down on a chair, pulling her PJ trousers up over her knees as she sits next to Helena. “What have you been doing that for? Shane only gave us fake job titles to get us free flights” She held a hand to Helenas cheek, pretending to look concerned. “Have you gone insane Helena? You do realise you’re not actually Shanes travel advisor?”

“Oh shut up Alice!” Helena flung a pillow at her friend, who was screaming with laughter. “I’m not letting us sleep in some god awful hotel in a bad part of London. No way” She shook her head at Alice, sticking her tongue out in disgust. “Yuck”

“Oh sorry. What was wrong with the hotel they booked in the first place? Not up to your usual standard, Lady Peabody?” Alice pretended to bow her head

“What was wrong with it? Don’t you mean, What was right it?”

“Ok, what was right with it M’Lady?”

“Absolutely nothing. Now go fetch me that drink”

“No way! I told you, I’ve been busy too” Alice slumped back into her sofa, yawning and patting down her messy bed hair.

“Really? What have you been doing then?” Helena looks up at the hallway, where, almost on que Tasha walks into the lounge. Shes wearing blue shorts and a khaki vest. “Oh sorry, let me rephrase that Alice” Looking back at a clearly blushing Alice. “I should have said WHO have you been doing then?”

    “Morning Helena” Tasha smiled

I groan and roll over on the bed, hiding my face under the covers and closing my eyes. It can’t be 7 already? I peep out from under my quilt, squinting my eyes in the bright morning sunshine. Once my eyes adjust I sit up in bed, glancing over at my arm clock. Its 6:45am, do I stay in bed until 7 or get up now and be early? Stay in bed, wins everytime.
