Like Looking Into a Mirror Ch.12: Cold mochas, a muffin and a crazy mother.

Andie was lying on her stomach wrapped in the sheets of Shanes bed. She hadnt slept at all really and had no clue how Shane could even move and go to get coffee without collapsing. She flipped over onto her back and looked up at the ceiling. Andie smiled to herself as she thought back to the last hours of the early morning. She could smell Shane clearly, imagining the sheets were Shane wrapped around her again. Pictures of legs linked and moving, lips kissing deeply, tongues lapping curling against each other filled Andies mind. Soft bites on the flesh of necks, ***** and inner thighs. Hands that couldnt stop roaming each others bodies. Hot wetness being pressed against each other tightly. Andie could hear the sound of Shanes moans and breath perfectly; she knew that Andies sounds drove Shane equally insane. Especially when each time Andie would climax, Shane would stop thinking about anything she was feeling herself and go completely quiet. She would watch Andie closely, focusing only on her. At one time Shane climaxed just by watching Andie. Andie had never had a lover who would just simply completely focus on her like that. She didnt necessarily know how to feel about it. The night was perfect either way. Andie just grinned and stretched when she head the front door open. She stayed in the bed as Shane walked in. Andie heard her setting down things; she smirked wondering if Shane thought she was asleep and then realized Shane was now standing next to the sofa bed. Andie looked up and smiled big when she saw Shane holding a small bag and a big coffee cup from the Planet. Andie sat up and wrapped the black sheets over her naked body and inched over to Shane. Shane smiled and handed the bag and cup to Andie, Morning. Andie grinned. Good morning. Thank you. Andie kissed Shane softly and then sipped some of the mocha. Sorry, its probably a little cold. Shane said taking off her coat. Thats ok, I like cold mochas. Do you work today? Andie asked pulling out a lemon muffin. Yeah, I need to be there in about forty five minutes. I brought you guitar and a change of clothing. Hope you dont mind, even though I prefer you in what youre wearing right now. Shane said getting up and pulling off her coat and then her t-shirt. Her sudden nakedness caught Andie off guard, but then she giggled with her mouth full. Wha? Shane said turning around. Nothing. Andie swallowed. The way your comfortable with being naked.is.. Shane stared at her with her hands on her waist. Andie took another sip of her cold mocha and set her muffin to the side. What about it? Shane grinned. Well, its pretty ***** hot. Andie laughed. Oh yeah? Shane asked. Yep. Andie nodded looking over at the stuff Shane had brought in. Shane smiled then ran and jumped on Andie. The cold mocha fell out of her hand and spilled onto Andie and the sheets. Hey! I only got a few sips of that, damn it! Andie yelled. Yeah, but now I get to taste it on you and then you have to take a shower with me. See how I planned this? Shane laughed. Ohh, I see. Andie smirked and Shane began to immediately pull the sheets away and place her lips where the mocha had spilled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andie was sitting on Shanes bed after she put clean sheets back on. She, of course, had to search for clean sheets to put on to the bed. She sat with her legs crossed in her white men briefs and t-shirt that simply said I love geeks. Andie was playing her guitar quietly. She kept pushing her freshly washed hair out of her eyes, when she thought of words to go with the melody she was messing around with. Shane had left a half an hour earlier and Andie would be leaving soon to meet Alice for lunch. She was in the middle of singing when her cell phone rang. Andie didnt recognize the number answered it. Hello? Andie said, but her face instantly fell when she heard the voice on the other end of the phone. Hello, mom. Andie said quietly. Andrea, how are you? Andies mothers high-pitched voice asked. Im good mom and you? Andie put down her guitar. Busy, busy, and busy. I may be starting my own talent agency. Living in L.A. you meet just so many in people. Her mother began to brag. That sounds cool. Andie said. Are you still in that band? Or are you finally doing something worth your time? Still on your diet? Andie gritted her teeth at this. Actually, I decided to become a Hooters waitress. Andie said. Well, I guess we all have to make a living. Although, I thought you had to be thin to work at Hooters. Listen, Andrea, the reason I called was that I wanted to ask if youd like to come see Gary with me. Her mother seemed to be oblivious to Andies sarcastic tone. What? Andie said loudly. Now, dont get angry, but hes really changed and is so Andie immediately cut her mother off. Are you ***** kidding me? After everything and you have the nerve to go see that. thing? After what he did? Do you ever even think about Rae? EVER? Dont you talk to me like that, Andrea, I am you mother. Of course, I think of Rae, but she just didnt want to be normal and would talk back Andie’s mother spoke fast. Normal? Andie squeaked. Yes, normal, she changed you a lot, too, Andrea. Playing in that band, kissing or whatever it is you do with girls. Im sure that Rae had an influence on you with that ***** stuff. Its so strange it was almost as if you were the younger one looking up to her for answers, not the other way around. Her mothers voice was shaking with anger just as much as Andies was. Rae, only taught me to be myself, to be proud of who I was. She was more normal then any one of us. Maybe I was looking up to her for answers because you were never around to give me any, did you think about that?” “Wait just one minute, I was there for you girls I did the best I could.” the voice yelled out from the phone. “You did the best you could? You brought in a man who beat us daily and would beat the ***** out of Rae just for looking like a boy. What would you do, mom. Just tell Rae that she needed to act more like a girl. Now if you want to talk about abnormal people take a look at yourself, mom. You are going to visit a man who killed you daughter, my sister, for ***** sake. You dont think of Rae, you could care less about what happened to her. So, no mother, I dont want to go see Gary with you and I never will. And mom, that band is called the Prozacs, something that you should be put on. Dont call me again. Andies voice was angry, but suddenly an icy cold calm. She hung up on her mother and threw the phone across the room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alice had pulled up to Shanes apartment building to pick up Andie to go out to lunch at a sandwich deli that had opened up a few days earlier. Alice was expecting to see Andie bouncing happily out of the building. But instead, Andie came out looking a bit upset. She put her guitar in the back of Alices mini and pulled her black coat around her tighter and she slipped in the front seat. So, how are you? Alice asked pulling away from Shanes building. She tried to pretend that she didnt notice that Andie was not happy at all. Im ok. Hows Tina? Andie asked quietly. Shes feeling better, at least she was when I talked to her earlier today. Alice said looking in the rearview mirror. Good, good. Andie nodded. Alice decided to be quiet for a little bit, then realized that the reason Andie may be upset was because Shane might have asked her about the scars. Andie how was last night? Alice asked. Are you going to tell me or what? It was a great night, Allie. Ill give you some juicy details later, but not right now, ok? Andie laughed softly, but then went quiet as the mini pulled close to the deli. Alice turned off the car and turned in her seat to look at Andie. Ok, And. I think I know whats going on. I ran into Shane this morning and she kind of asked about the scars. Andie just stared at her, her mouth dropped open. She ran her hand through her hair. Alice could see she was getting angry. Did you tell her Alice? Andie said. No, no, no, but And, I think you should tell her. You know when your ready. Shane wont judge you or anything. She would be there for you and it would maybe help you to talk about it. She would understand Alice was saying nervously. Alice, stop. Jesus, I know you are trying to be my friend and everything, but I do not need anyone to tell me when or that I need to share that part of my life with some one. *****. First, my mom calls me today and asks me to go with her to see Gary and then this. I dont need this Alice. Andies voice cracked but she held it in. Alice saw her bottom lip quiver. Andie, I didnt know. Im sorry. I just wanted to help. I dont think Shane was trying to pry. Alice said quietly. You know, Im not hungry. Im just gonna walk to practice. Andie got out of the car and reached in to get her guitar. Allie. Ill see you later. Tell Shane that the next time she wants to know something about me, just ***** ask me, not you. Andie wait! Alice jumped out of the car. *****! Andie walked down the street and didnt turn around. Alice pulled out her cell phone and called Shane immediately. Whats up, Al? Shane answered. We have a problem. Alice said.

    1. Getting an update from you was a great way to end the night. Take it easy as much as you can working 60 hours. How do you even have the time to write? I’m glad you were able to get this update out. I was wondering where you had disappeared too. When will we find out about those mystery scars? I’m just as curious as Shane to know the story behind them. Five stars all around.

    2. I usually try to crank out as much as I can on my days off. Since I love to write it’s a great relaxation tool for me. Plus I love the character of Andie, she just reminds me of so many different people in my life, including myself, all rolled into one.
