The next few weeks went smoothly. Dana and Alice were getting along splendidly. Alice even started to work out a little with Dana. Bette, true to her word, was giving Tina all the attention she deserved as well as working on the show.

Alice: Dana, when do you need to go to the courts?

Dana: 8 a.m. you want to come? Or do you need to do somethings around here?

Alice: I am going to meet Tina for coffee, but I will meet you after practice. Is that okay?

Dana: yes sound perfect,
Dana walked over to Alice and pulled her in her arms, see you in a little while honey, I love you.

****at Bette and Tinas

Tina: good morning baby.

Bette: mmm good morning T. you were up early, is everything okay?

Tina: yea, just felt a little sick is all, I will be okay.

Bette: sick?? (smiling) did you say sick??

Tina: umm, yea, sick, Bette, you dont think? (running to the bathroom, and pulling out an EPT test) Baby, should we try it?

Bette: OF course, lets see, I feel it.

Tina took the test and they sat on the couch, watching the clock, this is it Bette, no matter what the outcome, we will move forward.

Bette: (holding her hand tightly) yes, we move forward, we dont let it consume us.

DING

Tina: it is time, lets go.

Bette: Ill race ya.
They rush to the bathroom, Bette reaches for the test, and runs into the living room, holding it over Tinas hand. Bette, give it to me! Bette is laughing, no, you found out first, the last time this time, I get to tell you.
Tina is smiling at Bette. Then read it already
Bette looks at the test, she rereads it, smiling at Tina.
Tina: is it? BETTE!
Bette walks over to her and pulls her in her arms, yes, it is YES! Oh baby, we are having a baby!
Tears fill up Tinas eyes, Bette pulls her into a tight embrace. This time it is going to be okay, I just know it
Tina: I hope so Bette, I really hope so.

Bette: lets go call the doctor.

Tina: do you think we could come in today? We are both a little nervous. Yes that sounds perfect, thank you, we will see you then. Bye

Bette: well?

Tina: 2 pm, does that work for you?

Bette: anytime, all the time, I will be there, always.

Tina hugs Bette. Oh *****, I am supposed to meet Alice for coffee, you wanna come?

Bette: yes lets go, no one knows until we confirm, deal?

Tina: deal.
They seal it with a kiss. Hand in hand they walk to Bettes car.

***** At the Planet

Alice: hey, thought you stood me up.

Bette: no, we, she umm, juice T?

Alice: juice? What is with the juice?
Bette is smiling the biggest smile she has ever smiled. Okay Porter, spill it, you look like the cat you ate the canary.

Bette: Tina is pregnant! Oops! Sorry T.

Tina: it is okay babe, Al, we have a doctors appointment this afternoon. Just to confirm, and make sure all is well.

Alice: wow, a baby that is great news, but guys, no boring this time, right?

Bette: oh Alice, there is nothing boring about my beautiful pregnant wife. Trust me.

****at the doctors

Bette is leaning over Tina, pushing the hair from her eyes, she leans down to kiss her. you look gorgeous, T. Tina smiles and Bette and takes her hand and brings it to her lips. Thank you baby Just at that point, the doctor comes in, okay Tina, are you ready? You know the routine, are you comfortable? Tina smiles up at Bette, yes, I am fine, the doctor points to the screen, there, there you are, and there is the heartbeat, nice and strong.
Bette: Oh Tina, look, there is our baby, look at that. Oh my God, T. I love you so much.

Tina: I love you too, look at it beating.

The doctor looks at both women I know you are both worried about this little being, but, what happened to you before is not a sign of what to come, I dont want either of you to be worried, just enjoy this time, and come see me in about a month. And if you feel like you need to come in, just call, Tina, I want you to continue doing your normal activities. Whatever you feel comfortable with. Okay?

Tina: thank you so much.

Bette: yes thank you,
Bette helped Tina sit up, and leaned over to kiss her again.

Bette: I love you baby. (she leaned down to Tinas stomach), I love you too baby.

Tina; you are going to be a great mom, babe.

Bette: this baby is going to have 2 great moms and a bunch of great aunts. He or she is very lucky, and I am going to spoil you rotten for the rest of your life.

Tina: do you need me to drop you off at work?

Bette: no, umm, unless you have plans I would love to spend the day with you, just hanging out.

Tina: I would love it.
Together they walked out of the doctors office, both of them smiling. Today was the first day of the rest of their life. They both knew they were not going to take anything for granted this time.
