LIfe with Mom and Tina Ch 84

    Previously:

Bette and Tina smiled at each other and touched their foreheads. They both desperately want to more but they knew that Jess was right as usual.

"Come on Let’s get ready." Bette said.

Jess beat Bette and Tina to the restaurant. Since they decided to take two cars to the restaurant and leave Jess’s car at the restaurant when they went to the opening. Jess talked with Carl about the opening while she waited for them.

"So are you excited about tonight?" He asked.

"Yeah I am kind of nervous." Jess said.

"I bet I know I would be nervous if I was going to my first opening of my own artwork and I hadn’t told my parents or anyone else that I knew." He said.

"I tried to tell Mama but she wouldn’t listen." Jess said.

    "I heard." He said.

"I forgot you like to ease drop" Jess teased. She would often frequent the restaurant when Kate was there especially after Bette left.

"I can’t help myself some times." He said laughing.

"Well as long as you don’t spill the beans before I can tell them." Jess said.

"Here Kate left this for you earlier. She said that she would see you there and here they come." Carl said.

"Thanks. Hey guys. What took so long?" Jess asked.

"Traffic." Bette said looking at the envelope Jess was hiding behind her back.

"What is that?" Tina asked reaching for it.

    "Later." Jess said.

    "Okay." Bette said confused.

They went to the table and sat down and ordered. There was an awkward silence. Bette and Tina both were watching the envelope, curious about what was in it and why was Jess being so secretive.

"So are you gonna tell us what is in that or do I have to steal it from you." Bette said.

"You can see it in after we eat but before we leave." Jess said. She took the envelope off the table and sat it on the floor next to her. Bette and Tina watched her closely.

Over dinner they talked about everything except what was in the envelop. Jess cleverly avoided any attempt to bring up the conversation.

    1. Great chapter showing them together again. I am disappointed about one thing from the last couple of chapters we did not get to see the reaction of Tina and the family when Bette walked into the auditorium as Jess was giving her speech at graduation. In my own mind’s eye I can just see Tina nearly faint and run to Bette but we did not get the play by play from you and I really wanted to know how it turned out. Thanks for such a lovely story.

    2. Did you forget another page? Too short! lol But wait. Have Jess and Laurie ever verbally said they love each other? If not, I’m curious to see what Jess’ reaction is. Well now we know why Jess was so hurt that Tina didn’t want to go to the gallery, although I can understand why Tina said no.

    3. Tina has always loved Jesse, but she was jealous of the time that she and Bette didnt have like when she was younger and before the other chidren came alone. She has a lot of growning up to do before she really understands completely thanks

    4. Jess and Tina must have really hurt each other. With Jess never believing that Bette was dead and Tina having to raise the family with a broken heart no wonder there was major tension. Loved the adult alone time. I hope to see a little more adult alone time. Never can get enough of Bette and Tina. Thanks for the post and have fun in the woods.

    5. So, I read this when u posted it, but my comment didnt work! Anyway, I’m lovin the story. Bette and Tina are great, and Jess and Laurie are their mini-mes! It’s about time Laurie and Jess hit the love mark! Keep up the good work! =-)

    6. i like the relationship between jess and laurie are they a young versionof bette and tina in the making. i hope u dont follow the show and try to break up b,t.lets have some good luck with this couple.

    7. Happy to see Bette and Tina reconnecting. We need more dialogue about what Bette went through and Tina’s reaction to seeing Bette in the auditorium. Great chapter!
