Life with Mom and Tina Ch 63

    Previously:

    “Okay. Bye.” Jess said.

    Bette hung up the phone.

“Is everything okay babe?” Tina asked.

“Yeah everything is going to be just fine.” She said kissing Tina.

    New York-Later that day

Bette and Tina got out of a car outside of Andy’s old building.

“Are you sure you want to go? I can go up and get them and be down in a minute.” Tina said.

“No I need to go in. There are some things I want to get for the boys.” Bette said.

They walked in the building. The door man held the door for them. The elevator ride was silent. Tina held Bette’s hand.

“Julie said that everything was exactly like he left it.” Tina said.

“She hasn’t been able to come in either.” Bette said and opened the door.

“Jess said the albums were in her room on the shelf.” Tina said.

“Her rooms is right here.” Bette said opening the door with Jess’s name and artwork all over it.

She stepped in the room and the memories washed over her.

“I remember when we painted this room for her. I was probably 6 months pregnant. Andy painted murals on the wall. He said that when his little girl was in here he wanted it to be like she was in a different world. Not stuck in some room in New York.” Bette said.

The room was a mural of the Curios George. It looked like the pages of the book. There were boxes of Legos and an unfinished castle.

“Julie wasn’t kidding when she said that it was the same.” Tina said.

Bette sat down at the table that castle was on.

“Do you remember these?” Bette said looking at the intricate building that Jess had done as a child.

“How could I forget she used to sit for hours building them.” Tina said. Looking at the room. “Wow look at these.” She said pointing to the painting that were hanging on the wall.

“She asked Andy to paint her those when we went to London to visit Julie when she was 5.” Bette said. Tears filled Bette’s eyes.

    1. I remember being a bit like Ian. I don’t know if I remember a time I didn’t know how to read. But I was also a bit like Teddy, except he’s into art and I was into music. I wonder how they will get on together if they are doing separate programs. Maybe it’ll be good for them to start having their own identities.

    2. I really really like your story Charmed. I don’t comment very often but I wanted to tell you that I look forward to – and read – every chapter you write. So please keep ’em coming!

    3. I don’t mind a prequel, just don’t forget Bette’s true Love Tina. Not everybody can read at an early age some take a loooooong time to figure out that skill. I have enjoyed this story from the beginning and hope that you will continue to grace us with your writings. I will always love the Bette and Tina stories.

    6. Ian is such a mini Jess LOL, I think that it is important for them to have this family meeting and for B&T to discuss taking the boys to their dad’s former apartment with Jess. They should all go together. This is an imopertant time is all of the kids kives :o)
