    Life:
    Altered 03.42 ~*~ Two Sides

“Wow that was fast…”  Alice said into the phone, pulling the sheet
off her body, and talking in a hushed tone into the blue glowing phone.  “Hold on a sec…?”
    Alice
asked and went into the bathroom and
began talking into her cell phone.  She
closed the door slightly, turning away from the door and talking quietly.

“I found what you were looking for
ma’am.  I’m relatively sure that your
friend is Daisy Vaughan.  I found nothing
at all on the other young woman whose name you sent me.  She might have been adopted out of the
    country.  Her mother’s name is
    Amanda Vaughan.
That’s all I found on her, I was more interesting in finding your
daughter.  Of the ‘A Peterson’s’ you gave
me, I found two that could be you, matching age and blood type.  One died in child birth…”

“Obviously that’s not me.”  Alice snorted and the young woman PI on the
other end of the phone laughed.  A dark
exotic laugh with a bit of an accent,
    Alice
smiled at the timbre of the voice that
drifted to her through her phone.

“Non, it isn’t.  Your daughter is still in LA actually.  Her name is Desiree Mitchell; she was renamed by her parents.  She was adopted by Pete and Paula Mitchell.
The birth dates match, but sometimes adoptive parents change the
    birthday, they obviously didn’t.  She’s
    going to be at
    Riley Park
playing a soft ball game today at 3pm.
I’ll email you everything I found on her.  She has blonde hair and dark eyes, very
athletic.  As I told you before, I cannot
be 100 percent sure, but with what you faxed me in the wee hours of the
morning, this is what I got.  I can do
more research, but I’m relatively sure this lead is solid from what you gave
me.  She’s a good student, excels at
writing, her parents are both writers for the LA Times.  I hope this is what you were looking
for.  I’ll have my bill in the mail by the
    beginning of next week.”
    Alice
sighed, her hands shaking at the thought
    of seeing her daughter.

“Thank you Miss Wheaton.”  Alice said and she clicked the phone off, and
she turned, Quin standing at the open door.
    Alice
jumped her hand flying to her heart.  Quin looked utterly radiant this morning, her
green eyes bright even though sleep clung to her.

    1. The reason I love your stories is- all your peeps are better then the cast, really though I don’t know who I like better quin or ro?? right now ro’s winning just cause I have a huge soft spot in my heart for the civic si, so much more details about the car would be awesome. so if her redlines at 150 then she has mostly a stock engine?? mine goes at 210/220.

    2. I’m with Croo…..Like I told you before I love your characters that you have created, especially Sam. I loved all of your stories with her in them. Thanks for all of the posts today, it kept me entertained on a very rainy Sunday!

    3. well.. it’s not possible that Daisy is not Alice’s kid after so much time has been invested on their “similarities”.. must be a fill mixed up…

    4. I’m glad Daisy told Cass, and I’m even more happy the way Cass responded to it. I have to agree with the rest of the reviewers, I totally like your own cast-creations, and they fit so well into this fic. It’s really amazing.I hope Shane gets some good news from her doctor, so she can celebrate that with Dana when they have their “dessert” LOL. Excellent work again J!
