    Life:
    Altered 03.25 ~*~ Changing Moments

                “
    PEABODY
    !”
    They all blazed and
    Alice
pretended it wasn’t a big deal, because
it really wasn’t.  Not to her, not any
more, she’d accepted Quin for who she was Quin.
Not that it was a bad thing that
    Peggy
was her mom, because, let’s face it, Peggy was the *****.

“She’s Peggy Peabody‘s daughter…”  Alice said off handedly, waving her hand and
staring at Quin as she sang the song from her very soul, and Daisy was tearing
into it, her jet-black hair a mane of silk as she jammed with the band.  She stared for a long moment at Daisy,
thinking that the young woman had a lot of talent.

                “That girl of yours, she’s
    good.”  Alice
said to Cassandra and Cass nodded, smiling a bit, very proud of Daisy at the
moment.  It had taken her a year to
connect with Daisy; and in under an hour, Quin had managed get her to open up
in ways that she’d never seen before.

Daisy had always been a hard
case, she’d been in the foster care system since the age of eight having been
given up by her adoptive parents.  She’d
been moved around, abused, shuffled from one home to another until she’d run
away and landed at New Dawn .  In the care of Shelby Pryde
and the talented crew of the school.  Cass smiled at Alice.

“She has played since I’ve known
her, but she’s gotten so good in the last year.
It’s her muse.  Her therapy, does
her more good than 100 sessions.”  Cass
said, and Shane reached over for Dana and tugged her to her feet.  Dana gave her a funny look; letting Shane lead her to her feet.

“I gotta move…”  Shane said in a funny voice, and Tina gave Alice a questioning look, Shane never danced.  It had been a joke when they’d first met
Shane about her never dancing yet getting all the girls with her moves.

“Umm…”  Dana said, being pulled over to the middle of the mosh
    pit, and they pressed together,
    Shane
not seeing a thing, but the warmth of the bodies was
well worth the terror she was feeling in her soul.
    Dana
held her hand, and Shane let the music take her.  Dana kept searching Shane‘s eyes for something, she didn’t know
what it was, but she was looking.

    1. I like the new characters that you have integrated into your story. They work very well. I’m primarily a danish fan, and don’t usually read much else at this site. At this point of the story I’m genuinely interested in what is going to happen to nearly every character. Jenny and Marina are tough for me – but maybe by the end I’ll care about them too.

    2. Where do you come up w/ this stuff – this chapter had me LMAO: The fresh piece of carpenter eh?; She’s cool, come on, I bunk with a girl who killed her mom; Much better than a Lisa Loeb song.

    3. That was so lovely, who wouldn’t fall for a girl who just wrote you a song and sang it with so much love. And Shane and Dana are getting very comfortable with each other, which actually leaves me with a smile on my face. Well, everything that’s going on with all of the characters is so interesting. You are so talented J!
