Let’s Fall In Love {Chapter Seven}

“Okay class dismissed.” Mr. Erickson announced to the class. Tina quickly gathered her things and hurried out of the building. Class had been a little longer than usual; she didn’t want to be late for work. Lucky for Tina she didn’t get stopped at every corner waiting to cross. She made it to the café and ran in. She was greeted by a smiling Bette.
“You just made it.” She said.
Tina smiled; “Yeah, class ended later today I’m sorry.”
Bette laughed, “Its okay; I would have covered for you.”
“Thanks.” Tina said as she walked in the back room. Bette was following after. Tina was putting on her apron; Bette was taking hers off.
“Are you leaving?” Tina asked Bette.
“Yeah; Alice called me today. She said she wanted to have dinner and catch up. We haven’t really had a chance to just hang out lately.”
“Oh really;” Tina smirked. Their plan was in motion; Tina played it off as if she didn’t know that she and Alice were going out. “Well have fun….where are you two going?”
“This small Italian restaurant; it’s not too far from here.”
“Oh; I think I’ve been there; it’s great.” Tina said.
“Yeah…well maybe you and I could go there sometime.”
“That would be great; I’d love that.”
“Are you going to be able to handle everything? We’re short a few people tonight.” Bette asked.
“I’ll be fine; thanks…have fun.”
“Okay; I’ll see you tomorrow.” Bette said as she walked out of the room. Tina returned to the counter. As Bette was walking out the door; she turned and winked at Tina. Tina blushed.

Alice was waiting for Bette already seated at their table. Bette would be there any minute. Alice’s cell phone rang; she saw it was Dana.
“Hey Dane.”
“Hey Al, what are you up to tonight?” Dana asked.
“Waiting for Bette; we’re having dinner; you?”
“Nothing really just wondering if you wanted to come over tonight. I miss you”
“I’ll try after dinner; I miss you too. But tonight I’m kind of on a little mission.”

Stop talking about it, Lament, I’m SO hungry. They’re frustrating. Wow… well, I hope Alice spills the beans to Bette or something because those two belong together, clearly.
Then seems like Alice better have another ‘master plan’ of hers to bring these two together ;)

Coffee, that was exasperating as Tina and Bette have feelings for each other but are too afraid to make a move on them. Bette foolishly thinks that Tina is straight and Tina can’t get her head around the fact that the bold and beautiful Bette Porter could be interested in her. Thank heavens that Alice and Dana are around to sort things out for them. A little deviousness is called for here and Alice is an experienced player on this court. No need for a layup or slam dunk here. Just get these two boneheads together and making sweet love. Coffee, this was delightful as it was so close and then so far. More please.
