RECAP (Chapters 6&7):
Alice: “Whoa! Wait a minute! You mean Bette? As in Bette Porter, around 5’7”, brown hair, brown….”
“Yes Alice…that Bette.” Tina said as she sighed.
Alice smiled. “I knew it.”
Tina’s eyes widened. “You what?”
“Well actually Dana called it first but….I mean come on it was so obvious Tina.”
“Alice! You’re not making this any easier for me!” Tina said loudly.
“Okay; okay, sorry…but I don’t know what the problem is?”
“What do I do?” Tina asked.

Bette was still standing in the doorframe; Fuck…of all people…she thought to herself.
“Shannon what are you doing here?” Bette asked with a hint of anger in her voice.
Shannon stood there; not making any eye contact looking down at the ground.
“I miss you.” She said quietly.
“Right; look just go home I have a lot of work to—”
“Bette please! Just…can we talk?”
Bette sighed; she had no time to deal with this; or any desire to.
“Shannon; there is nothing to talk about…” Bette started to close her door, “Good night.”
Shannon caught the door before it closed preventing it from shutting.
“I’m sorry! Okay?! I’m sorry!” Shannon shouted. She finally looked up at Bette; her black eye makeup smeared and her long straight hair in a mess.
“Shannon…I…” Bette didn’t know what to do, “come in…”

“Okay,” Alice started, “I have an idea.”
“What?”
“Well, I could find out for sure if she likes you.”
“How do plan on doing that?” Tina asked while chuckling.
“Oh believe me; I have my ways. And if she says she does…then Boom! We have a match made in heaven.”

Bette: “What do you want to talk about?”
Shannon started playing with Bette’s loose curls.
“Us.” She said softly.
“Us? Shannon…there is NO us…. look maybe you should go; I have a lot of work to—…”
Shannon pressed her lips against Bette’s before she could finish.
Bette was furious and pushed Shannon off of her.
“What the fuck?!” Bette yelled as she stood up form the couch.
“What?!”
“Get out! NOW!”
“What’s wrong Bette? Why can’t it be like old times?” Shannon asked.

Hey Coffee! I love your writing and I’m so very glad you posted this story. Tina should send Bette flowers and then call her. I, like Meredith wonder who (in their right mind) would say no to Tina. When Bette receives the flowers it should make it clear to her as to what Tina’s intentions are. There will be no doubt in Bette’s mind about Tina’s feelings towards her when she asks her out. I’m glad Meredith didn’t freak out on Tina, and even gave Tina some encouragement. Please post more on this story very soon Coffee!
So glad that you love this story because I do to. Mer sounds like she is interested in a woman maybe Tina. Tina should step out and ask Bette for a date or maybe a talk one or the other or maybe both.
