Chapter 63 – From the Heart

Tina floated through her day. Nothing bothered her or even came close to denting her feeling of euphoria. She was officially on cloud nine or ten eleven twelve or any cloud as things just couldnt get any better. Tina found herself whistling and just had to stop and laugh.

Bette found herself in her studio. She sat there in pose as if she was a model for some imaginary painter. So deep was her thoughts that the fact her muscles were beginning to get rigid from the stance was lost upon her. Bette had started her journey of thought. You know the kind of thought that comes when you harbor an uncertainty about yourself. This was a new position for her having this feeling of uncertainty. She has always been the one with so much confidence and assurance. She knew she loved Tina. Now that she had jumped the hurtle of believing that she could have her Tina back, she was beginning to think a little like the old Bette. You know the kind of thoughts that feed this self doubt. Can I provide for Tina well enough? Can I protect her better than before? How will we live?

Bette was still striking her pose as Shane walked in. Seeing Bette in this deep of thought Shane took the moment to admire Bettes beauty. Shane enjoyed this stolen moment, Bette was so much more beautiful now that her inner self was allowed to shine through. Today Shane noticed a rigidness to Bettes body making her appear less open. The perplexing look on Bettes face made Shane wonder what had put it there. Bette are you pondering world peace, or just how you can make a decent cup of coffee? Shane whispered as she approached Bette.

What? Bette startled as she looked around. Shane! she said as she recognized her friend and came back to the present. What are you doing here?

Well the last time I saw a certain good friend of mine she was taking another good friend of mine out for a walk in the park. I got curious. So .talk. was Shanes come back.
