Leap of Faith (Chapter 10)
“Ignore it,” Bette pleaded.
“An…gelica…sleep…ing,” panted Tina, reaching for the landline phone next to the bed. “Hello…” Bette dipped into Tina’s considerable wetness and resumed her tantalizingly slow tease of Tina’s distended clit.
“Thank God!” Alice’s voice was tense, but she kept her volume in check.
“Now’s not really a good time…” Tina plunged her fingers back into Bette, tipping her into another orgasm.
“Dane’s in the hospital,” Alice cut to the chase. “We need your help.”
“That didn’t take very long.” Jenny didn’t bother with hello. “What’s the matter Carmen, is Shaney immune to your rather considerable charms?” The sarcasm was palpable.
“Nice,” Carmen popped the top on a Heineken and sat in the chair next to the bed in the luxury hotel room she was sharing with the troubled novelist. She saw no reason to tell her that she’d spent the last couple of hours spinning at the club downstairs. “This is the last time I’m going to say this, so listen up.” She tucked her right leg under her. “Shane and I were very much in love, but we broke up for very good reasons. We’ve both moved on. We didn’t even try the whole ‘let’s be friends’ lesbian cliché.”
“So are you now?”
“Are we what?” Carmen felt her patience ebbing.
“Friends who used to be lovers.” Jenny couldn’t help herself.
“No,” Carmen answered truthfully. “I don’t know what we are, but we’re not that. Listen, Jen, you and I have something that works for us both. It’s weird and I’m not even trying to understand it, but it works. Or at least it did until we decided to come to LA.”
Rather than arranging for a car, Lindsay met Helena Lara and Helena at the airport in Charlotte’s navy blue town car. Under other circumstances, Lara might have appreciated the gesture. Unfortunately her grief and defensiveness led her to entirely different conclusions, leaving Helena to make awkward conversation with Lindsay during the 15 minute ride to Rick and Steve’s bed and breakfast. They guys met them in the chilly morning just as the sun began to peek over the Atlantic’s horizon.
“Charlotte was one of a kind, Ducks,” Rick said through his tears, reluctant to break their hug, even as Steve gently pushed him aside.

PPS and I might need some help on the next chapter, I am not really a writer like you! Gr8 job again!!!
OOhhh new post exciting… or not, as a Danish obsessive you’re breaking my heart with these baby issues! I have faith that you’re gona bring our little family out unharmed but not before some torturing angst! I just know you’re a sucker for a happy ending lol… Anyway, I still love it! I feel bad for Lara, happy for Shane and Beth, confusion as always for Jenny but hey it’s all part of her charm – I was rewatching series 5 actually and I love her all over again, she’s annoying enough to be hilarious! Too much info? I think so… I’m done THANK YOU
Sorry for the delay in comment…thank you for writing as always…I really hope Dana and the baby are going to be okay…I wish I too could write my own life sometimes, but if we knew all the endings what would be the point of waking up every morning…Keep on writing, as you know this is my favorite fan fiction…
Ok OMG i searched Danish and fall upon this one…So i had alot to trail through but i eventually got here in the end…and sad to see its been a while since an update guessing that youre busy but i seriouslyu want to know if Dana and the baby are going to be okay. Are Helena and Lara heading for a break up??Too many thoughts on this one so update soonies
aaawww what u left me there??? sorry I left u a tall order in my previous comment. I’m okay altho the arthritis progresses into my hands. Really like your story. Can u plz make Dana not die? And another TiBette baby sounds wonderful. Look after Lara, she’s such a honey; as for the rest they seem okay for now. Look 4ward to next post.
Poor Dana! And Alice too. How heartwrenching that must be. I just hope the difficult decision leads to a healthy mother and baby. Poor Lara, too, but at least she has Helena with her. I’m not sure I quite understand what’s going on with Jenny and Carmen, but I like that Shane finally seems to have some happiness. This is excellent as usual!
I was having a pretty rough Monday morning, but, it certainly got better when I saw you posted. Even through the chapter had several sad parts, it was still excellent. Poor Lara and Helena. I hope they can find some way to make it through. Bette and Tina seem to be doing well. I am glad they decided to answer the phone. Shane and Beth seem to be surprisingly well matched. That is another couple I hope can make it. Shane seems to be able to be herself and finally maturing. Jenny and Carmen? Meh. I am glad that Dana made it safely to the hospital. Alice is doing a great job in supporting her partner. I can’t imagine the stress the two might be feeling as they wait for the results. I am very concerned about the “difficult decisions” that lie ahead. Thanks so much, SG!! Can’t wait for the next chapter.
i’ve read this a dozen times but i kept forgetting to comment….omg im scared this is such a happy time for them after everything..pls let baby and dana be okay! :S
