    “Bette? Bette Porter?

Bette looks up, and standing before her is an ex-lover and business associate that she has not seen in five years …

Bette was still working at the California Arts Center when she visited Michael Cohanis’ Studio to view the work of an up and coming new artist for a possible showing at the CAC. Bette knew the artist was beautiful from the pictures in her catalog but she was even lovelier in person.

At the time of the meeting Tina had recently left Bette to pursue her relationship with Helena however Tina’s pregnancy had not yet been discovered. Bette hadn’t dated anyone since the split up but this woman intrigued her and she wanted to get to know her better. They talked as they toured the studio.

Bette (referring to glass sculptors): This work is exquisite. It must take forever to assemble.

Artist: I usually work on each piece for almost a year. I work on two to three pieces at a time but as you can imagine I’m not exactly prolific.

Bette: Why haven’t I seen this before?

Artist: Actually I think Michael has been trying to get you in here for ages.

Bette: Well I’m glad I finally came to my senses.

    Artist: Me too.

The artist moved to another part of the studio. Bette’s checking out the beautiful form of the artist as much as the art work. Simply dressed in loose trousers and a tank top Bette thought her absolutely gorgeous. Her smile was very engaging, and she had a natural unassuming beauty that Bette found very appealing.

Artist: This work I normally don’t show. These are straight up copies of classic renaissance paintings.

Bette takes a closer look at the artwork which looks very much like the originals.

Bette: I don’t think anyone even does this anymore.

    Artist: It’s thrilling isn’t it?

Bette: It’s absolutely amazing. I’d really love to talk to you some more about doing a show at the CAC.

    Artist: I’d be very interested.

Bette: At the risk of mixing business with pleasure I was wondering if you are busy tonight.

Artist: What do you have in mind?

Bette: Do you know the club The Planet?

    1. Thank you so much for the quick update!

I agree with you, It was deservice to the Kennard-Porter family that Angie stayed so much in the background, but in the Netherlands are rules of how many times a child is allowed to act in a show. So maybe in the USA kids are also not aloud to act that much?

But i am glad that Angie plays a big role in your story.

    2. Thanks for releasing me from cliff hanging so quickly :)

Agree wholeheartedly with your Author’s Note and think they could have worked around child actors permitted hours if they had tried. The writers seem to have lost the real essence behind in S5/S6.nd B & T’s characters.

Look forward to more in this story.
