Keep Bleeding Love Ch.26
Alice scrambled through her apartment, shirt unbuttoned, skirt unzipped, with one heel on. She stumbled into the kitchen, passing the living room on the way. As she passed the living room, she peeked in on Dana, who was so carefree and relaxed, perched on the couch watching tennis.
“Dana? Is this ok? I feel like it’s not ok. Oh my god I’m underdressed. What the fuck am I gonna do?” Dana looked at Alice. Distraught, nervous, edgy, and completely sexy. “Would you quit spazing out right now? It’s just lunch with my parents. Not that big of a deal I promise. Everything’s going to be fine.”
Dana pulled herself up from the couch after grabbing her crutches and made her way over to her girlfriend. She reached down and buttoned Alice’s shirt up, before turning her around to zip up her skirt. Alice smiled appreciatively and made her way to the bathroom to put on her makeup. “Hey Dana? Can you get in my closet and grab my white vest please?”
She stopped her work for a second, and listened to the steady click click click of Dana’s crutches as they passed the bathroom door on the way to Alice’s room. A few seconds Dana emerged with said vest and handed it to her girlfriend with a small kiss. “You look so beautiful, Al.” Alice immediately blushed.
As Alice finished up getting ready she thought of all the possible outcomes of this encounter with Dana’s super-conservative parents. The panic seemed to overwhelm her completely. Her palms were already sweating as she made her way into her bedroom to find her other heel.
“Come on, babe. We’re gonna be late.” Dana stood precariously with her crutches in the kitchen waiting on Alice. She heard a small crash and Alice cursing. “It’s alright it’s just a picture of Lenore!” The giggle in Alice’s bedroom reverberated through the house, causing Dana to join her in her laughter.
As Dana stood there waiting, she let her mind wander. How did she get so lucky? What had gone so right in the universe for her to have found the kind of love that Alice was giving her? The kind of love where your knees buckle, and your heart stops for a few seconds before beating so fast that it feels like it’s going to explode out of your chest. One touch from the person could set your whole body on fire. The kind of love where you can be in a room with a thousand people, but the only presence you feel is that one person. You can feel them when they enter a room, without looking at them. The kind of love that so many people never find in their lives just happened to fall in Dana’s lap in the form of her blonde, quirky, funny, beautiful best friend. She wasn’t sure what she did right to deserve this woman, but from that second, standing there waiting to meet her parents for lunch, Dana realized that Alice was the woman she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

I just found and started reading your story a few days ago. It is so sweet, cute, and fun. I hope you will continue to post. Since there hasn’t been much Danish action lately, it may take people a while to read your most recent posts. However, I’m sure once they see you’ve started writing again, they’ll be as anxious as I am to check the board each day. Thank you for your wonderful story and effort to keep Danish alive!
WOOT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Dana cursing is funny, i can picture this scolded child look with adult words. Poor D, but then again stupid should be painful and the cast removal still has me laughing. Excellent update, i’m still here reading as well as a few other authors im sure. You keep on keeping on. Thanks for taking care of the ladies =)
