    The end is only the beginning..

     

    “I know, me too baby.” Bette murmured softly. “But look at the bright side love, if he’s really turning into a boy version of me, then we don’t have to worry that much.” She smiled weakly at Tina. “I was even worse than he is now, but look at how I turned out.”

     

    “Oh God..” Tina made a face. “Now I’m even more concerned..”

     

    “Shut up.” Bette pouted.

     

    Tina grinned.

     

    “All he needs is someone to knock some sense into him and set him straight.” Bette gazed inside the classroom, looking at her son.

     

    “When do you think that’ll happen?”

     

    Bette shrugged. “Who knows? I had to wait seventeen years for you.”

     

    “So we have to wait that long for Lucien to start mellowing down?” Tina sighed, watching their baby dance along with his classmates to a nursery song.

     

    Both mothers gasped when his brown curls suddenly disappeared from view. Luke lay sprawled on the floor, body bumped from behind by a blonde girl with pigtails. The guilty girl chuckled evilly before sticking out her tongue at an incensed Lucien. Much to the relief of the boy’s parents, the little one finally followed their advice and refrained from retaliating.

     

    “I dunno baby, maybe we don’t have to wait that long after all.” Bette winked, watching Lucien glare at his tiny tormentor. “She’s blonde too..” She wagged her eyebrows at her wife.

     

    “Porters and their weakness for blondes..” Tina rolled her eyes good naturedly.

     

    “Mommies!!!!!!!”

     

    The two women turned their heads at the closed door. Looks like someone saw them peeping inside the room. As expected, the door swung open after a second, revealing their beloved child in all his rambunctious glory.

     

    “Hello my love..” Tina bent down and scooped her baby in her arms, forgetting the fact that she was supposed to be mad and reprimanding their son right now.

     

    “Kennards and their weakness for curly haired brunettes.” Bette teased right back.

     

    Tina chose to ignore her wife but set down Lucien on the floor all the same – but of course, not before giving him a loving peck on the cheek.

     

    “Hi mama!” The boy smiled at Bette, standing on his tiptoes to give his other mother a kiss. Bette obliged, bending down for her son as well. “Are we gonna go home now?” He asked his parents.
