    The itch, the swelling and the pain..

    Awake but feeling too lazy to move from her place on the couch, she continued to lay there until she heard the soft beeping sound of a key card being swiped on the door.

    “Babe?” A gentle voice beckoned, pulling her out of her semi-conscious state.

    “On the couch baby..” Bette answered with a hearty yawn, shifting her body into a sitting position, careful not to put her weight on the right side of her aching behind.

    “Hey.. how are you feeling?” Tina asked in concern, dropping her bag to an armchair, removing her straw hat and tossing it there. She walked over to her girlfriend and her adorable tousled locks and stood right in front of her – running a hand through the soft interwoven curls of brown.

    “A little better now.” The brunette sighed, wrapping her arms around the blonde’s waist and letting her head rest on Tina’s stomach. “So? How was it? Did you swim with the sharks?”

    “No.. not really..” Tina shook her head slowly. “I didn’t swim with them, I swam away.”

    Away? Bette looked up and grinned. “I thought you were brave..” She teased the girl.

    “I am.” The blonde answered defensively. “But I’m also not foolish either. I didn’t want to take my chances.”

    “They were just baby reef sharks. Didn’t our guide say it was completely safe?”

    “Yeah, but the fact that he had two fingers missing didn’t convince me of that. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the thought of becoming a castrated lesbian.”

    “That will put a damper on our sex life, huh?”

    “You bet.” Tina nodded seriously. “Wait a minute, let’s talk about you first. Does it still sting?”

    “Yes, a little. The pain occurs sporadically but it’s still there.”

    “Aw, my poor baby.” Tina sighed, kissing the top of Bette’s head. “Babe?”

    “Hm?”

    “Pull down your shorts and lie down on your stomach.”

    Brown eyes widened and twinkled with childlike excitement. “Are we having sex?”

    “No.”

    “You giving me a massage?”

    “Nope.”

    “Are we doing that thing we saw in the magazine where you put a blindfold over my eyes and do some nasty things to me from behind?”

    “…”

    “Are we?”

    “You have a dirty mind..”

    4. Brilliant, as always, Alchemy. Your dialogue and descriptions are so funny. The image of itchy, swollen Bette is just hilarious, especially the breakfast scene. I always look forward to your posts as they brighten any day! Thanks so much for continuing this story.

    5. A hairbrush is a good way to help relieve the itch. Damn jellyfish and other stinging things. I guess that the economic situation is even hitting the fan fiction stories. I love Bette and Tina with their humor along with their love.

    6. Poor Bette, she is too young to be in this economical dilemma. Is it that bad?, is she afraid she has to reduce the number of employees by firing them?, O Alchemy, I’m really hooked up and want to know what will happen :)

    7. Okay… after the fun in the sun with Alice and Shane, and Bette’s… unfortunate (but funny)… bite on her derrière, I’m now worried. Why are the number of employees significant? Is Bette worried about the sheer amount of people she’ll have in her employ? What’s going on with Melvin? What’s happening with PGC? It’s all very ominous, but very gripping. Love the story, thanks Alchemy.

    8. Have I told you I LOVE this story?? Their bantering is so funny & I love both the tenderness & the roughness between them. As you know the “…” are my favorites- they speak volumes..I mean I can SEE the expressions on their faces! And now you leave us hanging tooo…You are SO VERY AWESOME!!
