Just The Girl 2.0 – Chapter Twenty Two, Part Two (based loosely on HYD: Returns)

“What, like there’s no business like revenge business?” She chuckles, wagging her brows at me.

“I’m serious.” I tell her. “We’re gonna go into some legitimate business.”

“You don’t say..?” Her eyes widen, what I was trying to imply finally sinking in.

“Let’s push through with our fake restaurant business plans.” I smirk, the cogs turning in my head. “With every bar, club or restaurant they own, I want us to open a bigger and better one right beside it. I want to take all their customers and bleed those motherfuckers dry.”

“Hit them where it hurts the most.” Sam folds her arms on her chest, the excitement in her eyes telling me that she was pretty much on board. “We’re gonna empty their wallets? Force them out to the streets?” She looks at me sideways. “Okay. Let’s see how they’d enjoy a dose of their own medicine.”

“Uh-huh. So.. bankruptcy. That’s their punishment, and I’m going to fund it down to the last penny.” I declare, feeling the furies of a thousand suns blazing through my veins. Nothing motivated me more than a deep sense of vengeance – it was like I was wielding a magnifying glass of revenge; and now that I found a focal point to direct all that anger into – rest assured that Cherie and Vince would burn to a crisp pretty soon. Just like old times.

With determination in our eyes, Sam and I parted ways with a hug. Both of us hyped with a renewed sense of purpose. Dang, I felt like a fucking vigilante. I’m gonna get revenge for Jill and Eric – and unlike Cherie and Vince’s method, I was going to hurt them the legal way. Nothing like a little competition to cripple the enemy.

The moment I stepped inside my car, I quickly addressed the person on the front seat riding shotgun. “James?”

    “Yes, boss?”

“Set up a team for me. People from logistics, creative, finance, public relations, basically everyone with a fucking mind – gather the best of the best from the PGC. I want a group ready by tomorrow.”

    “But tomorrow’s a Sunday..”

“I don’t care. If they’re interested in keeping their jobs at the company, they would be there. Make it happen.”

Obeying my orders, he nodded, lifted his Blackberry to his ear and began making calls.

    Those fuckers are going down.

    Mark my words.

    Down. Down. Down.

    End of Part Two.
