Tina was going to talk to Bette tonight. Going to tell her, her fears, her reservations of what their relationship could mean to her life. She was going to lay it all out. If Bette didn’t want to wait until she was ready for more, then so be it. She had to do what was right for herself.
God she prayed Bette would understand and she would be patient with her. Tina knew she wanted Bette to be by her side now and forever. Tina didn’t want to say anything to Julie or to Bette just yet, but she knew in her heart Bette Porter was her destiny.
In the BeginningChapter 9..All Systems Are Go
Bette hung up from Tina with a worried heart. What did Tina want to talk about? Was she going to tell her she decided ***** life wasn’t for her. Did she think they should stop seeing each other? Bette decided she wasn’t going to worry, until she had something to worry about. Tina did agree to have dinner with her, that was a good sign.
Bette made reservation for them at her favorite Italian place, Gino’s. They knew her well there and it was a romantic setting.
Tina was really looking forward to seeing Bette. She wanted to make sure Bette was feeling the same way as she was. She wanted to make sure Bette really meant it about going slow and being patient with her. They would talk tonight and either she was going to still have a future dating Bette Porter or she was going to walk away.
Bette picked Tina up at exactly seven. Tina greeted her with a warm hug and kiss. Bette took this as a good sign. Maybe the talk they were going to have wasn’t going to be bad.
Once they got to the restaurant and were seated they both relaxed a bit.
Tina: “So tell me, how was your day?”
Bette: “It was good, got a lot done today. How was yours?”
Tina: “Good”
They continued the small talk as they ate dinner, both stealing glances at one another when they could. They touched through out the meal, a slight pat on the arm, or a brief touch on the hand or thigh. So far so good Bette thought.

I would like for them two to get passed the weekend without doing it. I don’t want Tina to regret what she has done…..it would be great, if Bette would stop it even if Tina was begging for it. Then again, I don’t know if B has that much will power when it comes to T.
