Tina wakes up at 12:00PM.  She looks over at Bette who is sleeping peacefully.  Tina wiggles free of Bette’s embrace and puts on her pajamas and goes out to the kitchen.

Momma Anna is having a sandwich for lunch.  Anna is about to get up when she sees Tina enter the kitchen.  Tina stops her and says, “Anna please finish your sandwich.  I’m going to get a glass of orange juice.  I’m going to wait for Bette, and we’ll eat when she gets up.”  Anna says, “Tina take a vitamin pill too.  I don’t want you sick.”  Anna continues, “How does Bette do?”  Tina says, “She’s sleeping like a baby thankfully.”

Anna begins, “I have breakfast with Antonio.  He say you cry all night about Bette.  Tina I just want to say when you have your brain washed it doesn’t feel no good!  It makes brain do funny things.  I think Bette went a little crazy.  But don’t worry I will talk with her.  I make her brain better.  I’m your Mexican Momma I fix things like that! (Anna has a big smile on her face as she tenderly hugs and kisses her baby Tina.)  Anna finishes her sandwich and asks Tina, “What you want Anna to make for lunch for you and Bette.  I don’t care I make anything you want.”  Tina smiles and says,  “Something healthy.  Bette is so skinny she needs to eat a good lunch.  We have to put some weight back on her.  Anna says, “I take good care of my Bette now!  I be her new Momma okay?”  Tina gives Anna a hug and says, “That’s just what Bette needs, the love of a Mexican Momma!”  Anna is proud and happy she can help take care of Bette.

Tina crawls back into bed.  She picks up the phone and dials Katie at her office.  Tina speaks in a hushed tone as she says,  “Hi Katie it’s Tina.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to call you sooner, but I won’t be in for a couple of days,  I’ve got to stay home and take care of Bette.  She’s my responsibility and I can’t expect my Mom to do it.  Also, I am beat  two days at the hospital with no sleep is making me a little dingy.”  Katie interrupts, “Tina I called your cell phone and a Mexican lady picked up and said I should leave you alone because your tired, and you cried all night.  Tina are you okay?”  Tina answered,  “Katie I’m fine.  I’ll tell you all about it later, also the fiery Mexican lady is Anna she’s my Mom’s housekeeper.  She’s very protective of me but she’s harmless.”
