Shane stayed for another hour, they talked about all and nothing.

Its four oclock now, and right on time Bette walks in the front door.

She sees Angelica in the play pen but no Tina. She set her bag down and takes off her jacket, then she walks over and pick Angelica up.

Hi, there, missed me? Bette says and she kisses her on the cheek.

Where is mommy? Bette asks as she walks towards the bedroom.

Baby, you here? Bette asks. No answer. Tina? Where are you? Bette calls out again. Then she gets an answer.

Oh, hi babe, Im in the laundry room. Tina says. Ill be right out. Tina continues and seconds later she exit and smiles as she sees them.

Sorry, I had my head inside the dryer. Tina laughs. She walks up to them and kiss Bette on the lips.

Hi. She says and continues past Bette and into the bedroom. Bette turns around and follows. Tina puts a basket on the bed and starts to fold the clothes. Bette puts Angelica down in the middle of the bed. And then she helps Tina fold.

Oscar told me that Angelica got into the daycare at the Center. Bette says and smiles.

Yeah, he called me earlier. So Ill go back to work on Monday. Tina replies.

Have you missed work? Bette asks.

Yeah, I have actually. I miss the kids and the people in the office. And I miss talking. Tina says.

Talking? Bette asks.

Yeah, the everyday conversations. I dont get to talk so much when Im home alone here all day. Tina says and looks at Bette.

Im sorry. Bette says.

You dont have to feel sorry. Tina says as she takes a seat next to Bette.

I promised I would be by your side every step of the way. Bette says and looks at Tina.

Bette you have been baby. Just look at your work day, now you dont start until 9 and youre home almost every day at 4, when you were at the CAC you started 7 or 8 and you were never home before 6. Tina says and smiles. Thats a lot of hours that we now get to spend together. Tina continues.

Yeah, but still, and now you have to do that again. Bette says as she thinks about the new pregnancy.
