Bette walked into The Planet, feeling frustrated about what had happened last night. She settled down at the counter and ordered an espresso.
“ Here you go, baby sis. “ Kit handed Bette the cup of coffee.
Bette looked up at Kit and forced a smile, “ Thank you. “
Kit leaned over the counter and asked in concern, “ You seem distracted. What happened? “
Bette let out a big sigh, “ Jodi and I quarreled. “ And adds on, “ She walked out on me in the middle of sex. “
“ She saw me moaning Helena’s name during sex. “ Bette explained, covering her face with her hands.
Kit was the only one who knew about Bette and Helena’s brief relationship.
“ Okay… But did you go after Jodi? “ Kit asked, rubbing Bette’s shoulder.
Bette shook her head in silence. She, herself, wasn’t even sure why she didn’t go after Jodi. Removing her hands from her face, she sighed, “ I just felt so jealous seeing Helena being together with Ashlee. “
Kit weaved around the counter and took a seat next to Bette, “ Okay baby sis, I’m just going to say it.”
“ I think that you are in love with Helena. “
Are you kidding me? Bette asked her with her eyes.
Do I look like I’m kidding? Kit replied with her eyebrows.
“ Think about it. You being jealous, you moaning her name. “ Kit said as she stood up, getting ready to attend to some customers.
Bette turned her attention back to the cup of coffee. She did have the urge to kiss Helena yesterday, when they were alone in the bathroom. She hate to admit it, but Kit was right.
She took another sip of coffee as she thought about what had happened during the last couple of weeks. She regretted making the decision of leaving Helena for Jodi. Back then, she chose Jodi because she wasn’t sure how she felt about Helena. But from what had happened last night, Bette was, somewhat, sure that she’s in love with Helena.
Admitting to the fact that she’s in love with Helena doesn’t make things better because she wasn’t sure if Helena had felt the same way. Bette had no idea on what to do next.
“ Bette. “ A familiar voice spoke.
Bette looked up. It was Jodi and standing next to her was Tom.
“ Can I join you? “ She signed as Tom translated.
Bette smiled softly, “ Sure. “
She watched Jodi settle down before continuing, “ Listen, I’m really sorry about last night. “
Tom translated, “ It’s okay, maybe we’re just not for each other. “
Bette was glad that Jodi understood her. She was glad that she didn’t have to go through an ugly breakup with Jodi.
“ What are you going to do about Helena? “ She asked, squeezing Bette’s hand to get her attention.
Bette shrugged, “ I don’t know. I think I’m in love with her but I just don’t know what to do. “
“ Tell her. “ Jodi said.
“ Yeah, tell her. “ Tom added.
Bette laughed, “ Maybe I should. “
Then, their conversation was interrupted by a waitress, informing Jodi and Tom that their cab had arrived.
“ You’re leaving for New York? “
“ Yes. It was great being with you, Bette. I hope that things would work out between you and Helena. “ Tom spoke as Jodi leaned in to hug Bette.
“ Bye Bette. “
“ Bye, Jodi. “ Bette said softly as she watched Jodi and Tom walk out of The Planet.
Tell Helena huh? She thought to herself.
“ Maybe I will. “ She mumbled to herself, feeling slightly more confident as she finished up her coffee.

Hello risque, as a huge fan of BeLena I must say that I would love to see this develop further, but I too don’t want Ashlee to get hurt, Bette should wait for a little bit, the pain she caused Helena when she left is something she should really evaluate before making any rash decisions. Helena is already going to be in for a lot when Ashlee decides to reveal the truth about Sarah and I think that this secret might be something big enough to cause a rift to form between Helena and Sarah. I just feel a certain tension is about to come undone, but I will be here no matter what but with this new revelation I’m going to be cheering for a reunion between B and H. First, this is getting interesting, love Bette & Helena, but do not want to see Ashlee get hurt. So how ya gonna do that then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello again, I really like how you handled the situation with Jodi, I think that is more in line with her character. Even if on the show Bette goes back to Tina I don’t think that Jodi is one to become volatile, just as long as Bette is honest with her as she was here. Thank you for that. Sincerely, JC
WOW! Didn’t see that one coming =D I have a feeling that there’s a storm lying ahead of us! Great turn! Though Bette really should think about whether to tell Helena or not. I mean, Helena seems happy with Ashlee and they have a nice connection and I wouldn’t want Bette to hurt Hel nor Ash. On the other hand…BeLena…hmmmm *winks* But we’ll just have to read and see, huh?! ;) I’m sure you’ll do it wonderful no matter how the story ends! I love it when people (especially women) talk nonverbal like Bette and Kit did… Not everybody’s capable of *reading* one’s face and it shows a lot of intemacy between those who can…(And sorry for not commenting on the last chap, but let me do it here in short: well-written, sweet and -of course- hot! I gotta agree with all the above. Bette’s ship has sailed. To quote a fan fic reader/writer, “Did I just saw that?”
BTW It took me a while to get the Jodi “saw” Bette moan Helena name. I thought it was a typo. Damn she’s a good lip reader.
