Bette looked down at her, letting her eyes go over every inch of her lovers face. Her smile, it blew Bette away. She knew those lips so well, how they felt, how they tasted. She could never get enough. Her nose, her cute little button nose. Then there were her eyes. When she looked into them, she was certain she could see Tina’s soul. She felt so secure. She could see the love that Tina had for her. Even when she rolled her eyes. She loved every inch of her, flaws and all. Not that there were many flaws mind. In fact the only flaws she could think of were the stretch marks she had from when she was pregnant. She didn’t see these as flaws though, merely a reminder of their love.

Tina looked up at her and asked

‘What you thinking about?’

Bette smiled.

‘I’m just thinking about how much I love you.’

Tina smiled back, bringing her arm up to stroke Bette’s arm.

‘I love you too babe.’

They sat in silence again just loving the scenery and the fresh air. And of course the alone time. Since having Angelica they hadn’t had a chance to get away alone. Not that they minded, of course they didn’t. They loved their daughter more than anything. It was just nice to get away from it all. Not having to worry about if Angelica is safe, or think about work, bills, friends etc..

Sitting here in the peace and quiet, looking at her lover gave Bette a chance to think about things. Things that had happened over the years they had been together. The first 8 years were perfect, not a problem at all. Then she herself screwed it up. She ruined their relationship and broke Tina’s heart when she had a momentary lapse and slept with Candace, a carpenter who meant nothing, nothing at all to her. It was all out of shear lust. Sure her and Tina had been going through some problems. Given the chance to step back and think about things, Bette knew how silly she was to have done it and god if she could turn the clock back she would do it in an instant.
