Tina shifted the cold towel that she had placed on Bette’s forehead, watching Bette who was in peaceful slumber.

“Oh Bette,” she murmured softly “What happened to you? Why were you drinking so much? Who hurt you?”

She stroked Bette’s cheek, saying “I can’t believe I turned to men, how could I have done that? I know it hurt you so bad even though we had already long split, I didn’t mean to hurt you Bette. I promise.”

I don’t know what went through my mind
But now I can see

“Seriously what was I thinking? Even after I broke up with Henry, it was dumb and cowardly of me to just sit there and nurse a not-even-that-broken heart.”

“I should have gone after you, chased you back. Or at least made my intentions known, given you another option besides Jodie.”
