    Author Notes:

    My day dragged horribly, and I wanted to curl up in a little ball and just cry. I felt like I’m all cried out, but the tears kept coming. Candace kept calling my office, and she wouldn’t stop. I took the phone off the hook and sat in my office in silence. I just wanted to be alone and didn’t want to be bother. I finally made it home and pulled into my driveway. Home sweet home…Home un-sweet home.

    I went to run after Tina, but Shane grabbed my wrist. I stopped and looked back at my friend.

    “Just let her go.” I looked away from Shane and looked out the door. I sobbed silently and shook my head. She was gone again…Once again, I made another mistake. I just wanted to leave. I didn’t want my friends to see me in this state. Alpha Bette…Now, weak and poignant.

    “I’m sorry I ruined your morning.” I looked at Shane, and she shook her head.

    “It’s okay. C’mere, come and sit with us.” She guided me to the table after some of the workers cleaned up the mess and picked up the table. I sat down and sat next to Shane and Alice. Shane rubbed my back as I sobbed. I wiped my cheeks with my hands and sniffed.

    “How did I let everything get out of control?” I rested my arms on the table. “I knew that being in an affair can have its consequences. I love Tina—I love her with every fiber in my body. I wish that I can go back and make everything right again with her, but I can’t now.”

    “Bette—you were hurting. You were both hurting after the miscarriage. You were confused and did the first thing that came to mind. But cheating on Tina was wrong, but don’t give up on her.” I looked at Shane.

    “I really want to say is that you’re a fuckin’ idiot for letting the affair go on as long as it did.” Alice shook her head. “You should suffer for what you did to her.” I shot my eyes at Alice. I went to say something, but Shane beat me to it.

    “Alice—let’s keep it positive here okay. If you’re not going to say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.”

    “No, no Alice is right. I am fuckin’ idiot for letting it go as far as it did, and I should suffer for it.  I know that I’m the bad guy in all of this. I know that Tina doesn’t want anything to do with me. You guys don’t know how sorry I am.” I sighed heavily. “I fucked everything up for me and Tina. I need her. I ache for her. I would die for her.”

    1. i liked that a lot akira…i always enjoy seeing how the crew dealt with that oh-so central event of bette’s cheatin’ dawg’in behavior. i think you aced the challenge:)

    3. Since I brought up the rear with completing the Challenge, I held off on reading everyone else’s. Wow! This was really intense, and of course it’s sad that you leave it as the end of TiBette. :-( But that’s very realistic based on how you put this together! Great job!

You are incredibly talented this story is so touching, my God it’s really hard to live this all over again, I can feel Bette’s pain and sorrow over what happened, please don’t stop here continue and let Bette fix this and work real hard to get her Tee back, so sad “sniffing” waiting for the next one thanks dear you are great.
