    Explaining lesbian sex to an eighteen year old, is harder than it looks. Don’t try this at home without expert help!!

    “Oh my God, Bette,” Tina said in disgust. “Is that all you can think about?”

    Bette followed Tina and Dani out of the bedroom, with a puppy dog look on her face. “What baby? Im just interested in the artistic value…thats all.”

    “Right,” Tina said, shaking her head, thinking to herself… Thank God, Alice wont be participating in this little adventure! One could only imagine the trouble those two could cause in this situation. Tina let out an involuntary shudder. There is no way I would subject my teenage daughter to THAT kind of torture!

    The three women walked into the huge bookstore, all eyes shining with excitement at the numerous displays, featuring every kind of book you could possibly be looking for. They each had their own way of perusing through book stores, so the two moms headed in one direction, while Dani headed toward the large magazine rack, looking for the latest copies of Curve and Girlfriends, hoping there might be some good articles to read. They agreed to meet up at a cluster of couches in the middle of the store in twenty minutes.

    Bette and Tina headed towards the ***** and ***** Studies section of the book store, to see what there was to offer parents in need of help. They found a long bookshelf that had books on both sides. Bette took one side, while Tina walked around to the other.

    Bette cocked her head to one side, trying to read the book titles….My First Time, ***** Men Describe Their First Same ***** Experience; Jack Hart, Editor…..(no)….***** and ***** Weddings – Planning The Perfect Same ***** Ceremony, by David Toussaint, with Heather Leo…..(okay, NO)….Secrets of a ***** Marine ***** Star, by Rich Merritt…..(oh ***** NO!)

    Bette continued to look through the titles, eye brows furrowed, silently commenting to herself on whether the book was what they were looking for…..The Essential Guide to ***** Conception, by Kim Toevs, and Stephanie A. Brill….(to bad this wasnt around back when Tina and I needed it twenty years ago)…..The Secret Life of Oscar Wilde: An intimate biography, by Neil McKenna….(no)…..Box Lunch: The Lay Persons Guide to Cunnilingus, by Diana Cage…..Bettes fingers tightened around the spine of the book, as she felt flush all of a sudden. Nervously looking around to see if anyone was close by, she started to pull the book out….(okay, dont even go there Porter! This is about Dani, and she needs something that covers more that one subject…but oh, its such a good subject…NO…leave it!) She reluctantly let go of the book, the cover of which showed a picture of a womans box, that was tastefully covered in red roses, and continued moving on down the line of books….The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln, by C.A. Tripp, Louis Gannett, Editor, Jean Baker, Introduction….(What!? Abraham Lincoln?! Really? Ok, interesting, but totally off topic)….True Secrets of ***** Desire: Keeping ***** Alive in Long-Term Relationships, by Renate Stendhal, Forward by Jewelle Gomez….(hmmm, not that Tina and I need any help in keeping our desires alive….but, hmmm.)

      Tina ribbing Bette was great, nothing like a little humor to make the moment memorable. Great idea to go to the bookstore. The boys were hilarious, typical teenagers.

      Can’t wait to see what they all find to discuss and how Dani puts that information into play. Also, wondering just what Bette finds in the book she’s reading that may elevate her and Tina’s intimate moments. Maybe a quick trip to the home improvement section to find out how to sound proof their room first!

      Wonderful as ever. Totally hysterical and had roll me rolling in the aisle. Side were spilt and now require er visit for stitching them up.
      The scene in the bookstore is marvellous. All the intrigue of what the books have to offer and then Tina bumping into Jamie followed by the Graduate reference will have me giggling and grinning all day.

It is as good today as the very first chapter you wrote.     33. I can’t believe I didn’t see this earlier, like a week earlier. As always Seahurst, a wonderful chapter. Bette and Tina are hilarious, and so connected after all these years. Hope the guys are like Tina’s son, and are cool with the whole gay/lesbian thing, if they figure out why Tina was looking at that book. I’d hate for Dani to have to face such prejudice, as she figures out who she is. I will definately watch out for more of your post, everyday. You know how much I just love this story.
