    The next day in their lives.

    I Wish CH 32

    Bette decided to walk to the Planet the next day, hoping to quell some of the pent up excitement and nervousness that had been coursing through her.

     

    "It’s Tina. It’s just Tee. My Tee. My baby. Oh god. She is going to be MY Tee again! Oh God. Bette don’t fuck this up! Okay, calm, you need to be calm. Relax, stroll, don’t rush. Calm, that’s it, calm. Okay, big cleansing breath, that’s it. Breath in, breath out. Yeah, that’s it. Okay. You’re almost there. Oh Shit! There she is. There is Tina."

     

    Bette watched Tina enter the Planet, and all of her calm was gone. She felt her palms start to moisten, and her heart rate increased exponentially. After all of these years, she thought, she still makes my heart race.

     

    "How could I have been so stupid to think I could live with out her?"

     

     

    "Live without who Porter?"

     

    Bette turned to the sound of Alice’s voice.

     

    "Hey Al, uh, how are you?"

     

    "Not as good as I hear you are. And I have to say Bette, It’s about damn time! You know you two belong together right? You always have."

     

    "Thanks Al. We appreciate your support. But can you not put too much pressure on us right now? We are just at the start of this, and don’t need any more pressure."

     

    "The start Porter? Shit girlfriend! You two will be lucky to make it a week before you’re diving back into bed together. Guaranteed!"

     

    Laughing, Alice headed into the Planet, with Bette trailing behind, saying a small prayer for her nerves to settle.

     

     

    Tina was already sat a table with Kit and Shane. Alice was just reaching the table, when she turned around to say something to Bette and realized that she had arrived at the table alone. Looking around, she noticed Bette still hovering by the door looking excited, yet terrified.

     

    Alice wasn’t the only one to notice Bette’s mild apprehension, and Tina laid a soft hand on her arm as she rose and whispered, "I’ll go Al, thanks."

     

    Tina locked eyes with Bette, and in them she saw the fears, and the love. It filled her heart, and kicked her protective nature into gear as she witnessed the vulnerability rarely shown in public by Bette. Sidling up to her, she gently took Bette’s hand, and gifted her with a gentle kiss to her cheek.

    5. So happy to see this post. What will Bette say to that question? Loved when Tina went to the door to get Bette and told Her her….”its okay baby, I’ve got you.” I can hear Tina saying that in her soft, sweet voice that she uses only for Bette. PPS
